Pokémon The Champion Above Champions

Chapter 7

A good visit to the Pokemon center was all that Zenith's Pokemon needed to be put back into shape after the extreme heat of the volcano. The next three days Zenith spent at the volcano training with his Pokemon before he decided they needed a break, he slept outside not bothering to go get a hotel to crash at for the last few days.

That following day he wanted to give his Pokemon a chance to have fun, so he decided to give them a beach day!

Zenith was in nothing but his shorts with Jolteon at his side, they both looked up at the rising sun noticing its grace upon the beach. He then called out Charmander and Riolu, both having their own reaction to being called out.

Both though did expect to battle, however they didn't view any opponents expect seeing each other. Charmander was nervous at the thought of having to battle Riolu, while Riolu actually wanted the chance to battle Charmander after it's latest display of growth.

However as much as Zenith would like to see a battle between the two he decided to speak the reason they were called out, "Today, we're gonna take a break, have a beach day."

"Char!" Charmander cheered at the idea liking it, Jolteon already knowing what was going on just nodded; however Riolu wasn't with the idea. Riolu would much rather go off and train then be with the others.

"Come on guys, let's build a sand castle." Zenith said as him along with Jolteon and Charmander went on to build a large castle of sand.

The three then went and ran across the beach chasing each other before going into the water, though Charmander didn't dare go into the water which was understandable, but Jolteon still tried to splash it. 

After a good two hours of fun they decided to go get some food from the nearby grill. "What can I get for you?"

"Four meat sticks please." Zenith said as the man as he was soon given four kebabs. "Thank you." Now holding four kebabs, he handed two of them to Jolteon and Charmander for them to eat before looking around for Riolu so he could hand it theirs. "You guys seen Riolu?"

"Jolt."

"Char."

Both of them shook their heads in objection, and Zenith knowing that it would be quite difficult to find the dark Pokemon decided to save it's kebab along with his own for later.

Having chosen not to eat he returned to the water to swim, as Jolteon and Charmander were eating he grabbed some goggles so he could see the very bottom of the sea. Jumping in Zenith could see all the water type Pokemon that swam through the water.

Moving through the cold sea a blue marine reptilian Pokemon came to his side, Zenith could tell the Pokemon didn't have any ill intent by coming up to him.

It was a Lapras.

The blue Pokemon smiled at him as it glided around him before allowing him to to wrap his arms around it's long neck and moving across the sea with great speed. Zenith could feel the water move through his hair, the salty taste of sea water gush into his mouth.

It was that moment Zenith realized he needed air, he tapped Lapras on the side causing it to look at him. He pointed up expressing his need for air which Lapras applied to.

Zenith spit out water before taking in a deep breath, "Thanks, that is really fun, If I were to race you, I would surely lose."

Lapras nodded in agreement clearly confident in it's speed in the water, and as a way to express this it spit out water in his face. 

With that Zenith and the marine Pokemon continued to play with other, drafting more and more out to see until eventually something happened.

The next time the two surfaced to the top, a net was suddenly thrown over the marine Pokemon, making it gasp in fright and confusion.
