Chapter 10: Happy Birthday, My Love

Alice's POV:

I'm so lonely.

Maou's been working a lot more than usual, Ashiya's got a job and I have no clue where Lucifer is. Chi-chan is with Maou and Emi is also working more. I find Suzuno kind of creepy, the way she is always so monotonous, so we don't talk too much.

I honestly don't know what to do with myself. I tried going on the computer, but Urushihara has it password protected. I made some cookies! They were really quick to make and they tasted really nice so they lasted about... 10 minutes?

After a while of thinking, I decided to go for a walk. Putting on my trainers, I stepped out the door, locking it behind me. I walked to the park, my favourite place to go. I sat down by the river, watching it flow gently, resting my hand in the clear water. The sun seemed to make it glow, like a firefly. Some butterflies flew out of a bush and landed on my hand, making me giggle before flying around my head and away.

Walking out of the park, I decided to go on a walk around the town. I walked down to MgRonalds to see Maou and Chi-chan. They were working hard.

I didn't know where Ashiya worked, so I went on a quest to find Lucifer.

I looked everywhere.

Game shops.

Fast food restaurants.

Sweet shops.

OH MY SATAN WHERE IS HE?!

After about 2 hours of searching, I gave up. I was so fed up of being alone. I had only seen Lucifer about 4/5 times in the past 3 weeks. He's left early and come home late. Maou was the same, except I tended to visit him at work. I didn't know where Ashiya was working, but he cooked for me while Maou was working and Luci-chan was doing whatever he was doing.

All my feelings welled up to the point where I couldn't contain them and tears trickled down my face. I ran and ran, all the way home.

As I got to the door, I wiped my tears. Stepping inside, I noticed it was a lot darker than usual. Flicking on the light switch, up jumped Maou, Ashiya, Lucifer, Chi-chan and Emi, all shouting

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALICE!"

I took a moment to take in my surroundings. The walls were covered in signs saying "happy birthday!", the floor was lined with confetti, and in the middle of the room stood 3 demons wearing party hats. I didn't think I'd see that today.

I burst into tears.

Again.

I ran up to Lucifer, leaping on him, wrapping my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist, nuzzling my face into his chest. Yes, even though he was short, I was still shorter than him. I was seen as the "lil shota" of the group. Honestly, I could pass off as a 10 year old. I'm 15 for Satan's sakes! Well, actually 16 now, but that doesn't matter.

Hugging me back, Lucifer kissed the top of my head, whispering in my ear "Happy birthday, my love." Making me blush 100 shades of red.

Setting me down on my feet, I noticed a relatively large object in the corner, covered by a blanket. Tilting my head like a bird, I asked Maou "What's that?"

Glancing over, he smirked and walked to it. Grabbing the edge of it, he whipped it off, revealing a small, upright piano.

I gaped at it, shocked. I walked to it and ran my fingers over the frame, the keys.
"H-How did you... E-Even a-afford this?" I asked. I mean, they can hardly afford to pay the bloody rent, let alone a piano!

"Hehe... Well... We kinda all got jobs... To pay for it. We know how passionate you are for it." Maou said, scratching the nape of his neck, embarrassed. Tears falling down my face yet again, I held my arms open wide, a signal for a group hug.

The rest of the party was spent eating cake and playing the piano. I played lots of songs, by MCR, Green Day, All Time Low, Panic! At The Disco, everything!

After a while, Emi and Chiho left and Suzuno went back to her apartment. Maou and Ashiya went to bed, seizing the fact we probably needed some alone time.

As soon as the light was switched off, Lucifer pulled me into a tight hug. Slowly, he leant down to kiss me. I kissed back, wrapping my arms around his neck. He bit my bottom lip gently, asking for entrance which I granted. Soon enough, I'd been pinned to our bed, making out with Lucifer. As we pulled away for breath, he wrapped his arms around me protectively.

"Alice, promise me you'll never leave me..."
"I promise."
"And you'll never love anyone else..."
"I promise."
"And no matter what happens, we won't let anything come between us?"
"I promise. Now get some sleep!"

And so, the day ended perfectly, as me and Lucifer cuddled, sleeping, with our arms tightly wrapped around each other, legs intertwined, foreheads together, our hearts beating in sync.

You could say it was meant to be...

I guess we're soul mates.

Heeeeeyyyy!!!!! Sorry for the wait! Also, I got an idea about this chapter which I had to write, so as I said in the last chapter, next chapter things will start getting more tense.
