75 | what a loser!

the drive back home was way too long for seunghan. however, he managed to fall asleep while ningning was stuck in traffic, cursing out the people that were in front of her car. he woke up the moment ningning drove off, realising that he was about to go back home.

" you fell asleep ? " ningning asked. seunghan nodded, letting out a yawn. he just wished to get home and sleep, and forget about sungchan and his mean words. what was his problem with seunghan ? could it be jealousy ? sungchan was probably angry about seunghan, because of how much time he and ningning spent together.

he could not understand how hard it was for him to let go of ningning. they broke up, and now, sungchan was still trying to involve himself with ningning. but, at the end of the day, it was exactly their problem. seunghan should have never gotten involved in their relationship.

he was stupid to accept ningning's request, to spy on sungchan. why was she obsessed with knowing what he was doing every single day, and why was seunghan the biggest idiot on earth, to go ahead and work for ningning ? he guessed that it was the money he liked.

seunghan let out another yawn. going out in public, surrounded by rich people and their own problems, was very tiring. was this how yeri was living her life ? if so, then seunghan wished to never be rich. to him, remaining at his current social status was good enough for him.

" seunghan, can i ask you something ? " ningning turned over to seunghan, who slowly nodded. he was about to fall asleep once again, but he was suddenly interested in hearing her questions. " do you.. like me ? as in, have a crush on me ? "

after such question, seunghan surely lost all of his hopes of sleeping. was this what ningning thought of him ? was he presented as the random boy who has a crush on the nation's princess ? seunghan shook his head as fast as he could, hoping that this could answer her question.

" great, because i was told by some people that we look like a couple. i made sure to tell them that we are not one, but.. i just wanted to hear it from you too. " ningning let out a laugh, trying to make the situation seem more amusing.

seunghan raised his eyebrow. were people from ningning's circle of friends considering them a good-looking couples ? it was something odd, but seunghan did not know what to do about it. he gave his answer, let ningning know that he did not like her.

" ningning, i have always had this question about the people around this rich neighbourhoods. " seunghan told ningning, who nodded. " i have heard of jaehyun and sooyoung's relationship, and how bad it was. however, seeing sooyoung and doyoung yesterday, i did not see them happy. "

ningning's eyes widened. she considered that doyoung and sooyoung were the perfect couple. to her, their love was different from others, because they were eachother's first love. while she had to admit that they did have their flaws, they could not be better than it.

" i find them to be really happy together. i have no idea what you know about jaehyun, but he was a very terrible man. " ningning told seunghan, who was quite shocked to hear her words. " sungchan is not as bad as he is, but picture them to be quite similar. "

" oh, then that is very bad. i take back my words, i do find doyoung and sooyoung adorable too. " seunghan quickly nodded. he did know that yeri was not a fan of jaehyun's, and that she did beat him up in the middle of the street, but yeri had a problem with everyone.

seunghan did not even realise how fast the final minutes of the car ride went by. what he considered to be the most boring time of his life, he figured out that maybe he enjoyed spending time with ningning. she grew on him, removing the label he had made for her.

maybe it was meant for them to be friends. she was not who he had thought she would be, and she was actually an enjoyable person. as ningning was about to park in front of his apartament complex, seunghan was prepared to leave the car.
