Chapter 2

Dib groaned hearing his alarm go off, was it really time to get up already? He felt like he had just fallen asleep. He hit the snooze button while trying to make himself wake up, he rubbed his eyes and put on his glasses hoping that would help. The next thing he knew the alarm was going off again and he turned it off before sitting up and stretching, he slowly got up and got dressed before going to the bathroom and doing his hair, after that he went downstairs and made himself some iced coffee to take with him, he was going to need it. Gaz was already up and eating cereal, she grumbled to herself while she ate "morning Gaz" Dib said while grabbing a pop tart "morning or whatever" Gaz responded before going back to eating, Dib smiled a little, at least his sister was being somewhat nice. He ate his pop tart before going upstairs to grab his bag, once back downstairs he grabbed his coffee and headed out the door with Gaz behind him, she played her game while they walked but Dib didn't mind.

Halfway to skool Dib spotted Zim ahead of them, he glared daggers into the back of Zims head "stupid alien, do you know what he's working on Gaz? He's trying to use a virus to take over peoples brains! A virus!" Dib complained "I don't care Dib, why are you still fighting him anyway? It's not like he's actually going to take over" Gaz replied, Dib was a little surprised, he huffed "because Gaz, if I let it go he might find a way, I doubt it but he might, he's not as stupid as you might think, there's actually a few things he's really good at, for instance somehow we're the only ones that knows he's an alien, somehow he managed to fool everyone else, but I'll show them, one of these days I'll cut him open for everyone to see, just you wait Gaz" Gaz had stop listening and just said "whatever" Dib felt motivated but as soon as he sat down at his desk a wave of tiredness hit him, he chugged some of his coffee to stay awake but the bell for the end of that class woke him up, he didn't even remember falling asleep but it gave him energy for the rest of the day.

Lunch soon rolled around and Dib stormed over to Zim "I'm going to stop you Zim!" Zim looked up at Dib "go away Dib-thing, Zim doesn't want to deal with you" "why so you can plan? Huh? Huh?" Dib asked while glaring "no" Zim simply replied and he seemed a bit down, Dib almost felt bad but then remembered Zim was probably only down because his plan wasn't working out "whatever, I'm going to find out what you're up to and I'm going to stop you" he had to keep it a secret that he knew what Zim was up to and the alien believed Dib didn't know. "Yeah I'd like to see you try" Zim glared at Dib "you know what, just to make sure you're not planning anything I'm going to sit here and watch you" Dib sat down and got out his lunch, purposely putting his bottle of water near Zim, Zim cringed and shivered a little before glaring at Dib, Dib smirked and ate his lunch. When Dib finished he pulled out a brownie he was going to eat later but he was still a little hungry "oo give Zim some" Zim reached for the brownie and Dib pulled it away "what? No I'm not sharing with you... Wait you like brownies?" Dib asked while Zim stared at it "sweets are the only thing that's tolerable on this mud ball so yes Zim likes brownies" he replied and Dib got an idea "I'll give it to you if you stop planning" he waved the brownie above Zims reach "why on irk would I agree to that?!" Zim yelled, trying to reach the brownie "worth a try" Dib shrugged and put the brownie back in his bag knowing Zim was going to try to keep taking it, Zim pouted a little and crossed his arms "you're a jerk" Dib smirked "I know.. so why don't you bring sweets to lunch? I barely ever see you eat anything" he was curious "technically I don't need to e- hey why would Zim tell you anything?! I'm not revealing anything to you!" Zim crossed his arms and looked away. Dib sighed "I'll give you the brownie if you tell me" Zim looked conflicted but soon glared again "you think I'll just tell you anything for a stupid brownie?" He raised a non-existent eye brow "I'll bring you donuts?" Dib tried that as he knew irkens really liked donuts, Zims mouth started to water but luckily the bell rang "ha! Saved by the bell Dib-worm, Zims not telling you anything!" Zim got up and rushed to his next class. Dib huffed and got up before heading to his next class too.

During the last class of the day Dib watched Zim, he felt a little bad he didn't give some of the brownie to him so he saved half of it. He wasn't really sure why he did but it felt like right thing to do. The class dragged on and as soon as the bell rang for it to end Dib got up and walked over to Zims desk, he dropped off the brownie before leaving the classroom. Zim looked at the brownie surprised then watched Dib leave, why did that make him feel funny? Zim shrugged it off and grabbed the brownie and happily ate it on his way home. It was nice not fighting with Dib for once.
