Chapter 8

When Zim woke up he was extremely sore and he snuggled closer to Dib, Dib slowly woke up too and he smiled at his alien "good morning my love, how are you feeling?" Dib asked "fine" Zim lied trying to act tough, Dib however seen right through it "I would offer you a bath to help but unfortunately that won't work, how about a massage?" He asked, Zim slowly gave in and Dib gently laid Zim on his stomach and started using his thumbs to gently massage Zim's back. Zim relaxed right away, his muscles were extremely tense at first but they loosened up eventually, Dib quickly realized this wasn't just from them mating, Zim had kept so much tension in him throughout his life it was like he never truly fully relaxed. It took hours to get all the knots out, and after Dib was done Zim was asleep again, Dib smiled and chuckled softly. He ate cereal while he waited for his lover to wake, when he did Dib used cleansing chalk to clean Zim up and get him into pajamas. After that Dib gave Zim a few kisses "I'm going to go take a shower, okay? I'll make sure I blow-dry my hair" he said and Zim returned the kisses before nodding. Dib got up and went to the bathroom, he took a quick shower and blow-dried his hair before he got dressed and rejoined Zim. When Dib laid back down next to Zim, Zim could feel the heat from Dibs hair and he quickly wrapped around his head, wincing a little when he did. Dib chuckled and let him "I knew you'd like that, how are you feeling bug? Better?" He asked "yes... But Zim feels... Vulnerable" Zim admitted "oh Zim, it's okay, I'll protect you" Dib said Zim relaxed and nuzzled Dibs head "Zim's having... Complicated feelings... I like what we did but... I don't like the pain... I want to do it again but... Will it hurt every time?" Zim asked "oh no Zim, I promise it won't hurt as bad in the future, your body will get used to it if um... If we do it regularly" he blushed at the thought "and there's other things we can do, we can try oral next time" Dib explained "oral?" Zim asked "yeah it's um.. I'll show you next time~" Dib blushed more and wanted to keep it a surprise "okay" Zim replied and he felt a lot better. "You love Zim?" Zim asked seemingly out of nowhere "of course I do" Dib replied confused, the answer seemed to settle the alien. Dib was confused as to what was going on with Zim but then it dawned on him, it was just another mood swing, Zim would be back to normal in a few days, Dib smiled and just gave Zim extra love.

Dib was of course right and Zim was back to normal in a few days, honestly he seemed happier but something soon changed. "Zim would like alone time after we graduate" Zim said, Dib was utterly confused but he wanted to grant Zim wishes "can I ask why?" Dib said "it's em.. um... Uh.. project, it's a project" Zim tried to hide the truth, it seemed a bit sketchy "for how long?" Dib asked "it should only take a week" Zim said "wait hold on.. you want me to leave? For a week? For a project?" Dib had mixed emotions about it, Zim finally seemed to crack "fine, it's a surprise!" He huffed and crossed his arms, Dib sighed with relief "oh Zim you really had me worried there" he chuckled and picked Zim up, giving him kisses to cheer the alien up "yes I will leave for a week after we graduate, are you sure you'll be okay?" Dib asked, Zim slowly cheered up and nodded "I'll be very busy so I should be okay, I'll call you if I'm not" Zim promised "good okay... I'm going to miss you" Dib said "I'll miss you too Dibby" Zim said "good thing we still have a lot of time before we graduate, do you think you'll be able to?" Dib asked "of course I am Zim! Also my grades aren't that bad, it should be fine" Zim responded "yay, I'm so proud of you Zim" Dib was happy Zim would be able to graduate with him "thank you Dib-human" Zim smiled feeling proud of himself too.

Before they knew it they were on their last week of skool, many students were making sure they took their final tests and turned in any papers they needed to. Dib was a little stressed, not only about skool but having to leave Zim, he tried not to think about it, there was still another week after their last day of skool before they graduated, maybe Dib could show Zim a few things before they would have to separate. He blushed at the thought and shook his head, trying to refocus, he had a few questions left on the test he was taking, he quickly answered them and turned it in. After that he didn't have anything else to do and he was half tempted to skip the rest of the week but he wanted to stay there for Zim. Zim was taking a lot of tests and with Dibs help he turned in a lot of assignments. When the week was finally over Zim got good news and he ran straight to Dib after their last day "I graduated! I did it Dibby! Zim is amazing!" Zim pumped his fist and was so proud of himself, Dib smiled and watched the small alien "that's amazing Zimmy I'm very proud of you, do you want to go home and celebrate?" He asked, Zim nodded "but first cotton candy!" He playfully demanded, Dib of course gave in. They stopped at a store and Dib got Zim two containers of cotton candy instead of one, Zim was very happy about that and he ate it happily on the way home.

As soon as they got there and the door was shut Zim took off his disguise, boots, and gloves, Dib took off his shoes before scooping Zim up and carrying him to their room "Dib-mate what are you going to do to Zim?" Zim asked "oh you'll see~" Dib smirked

Dib set Zim down once in their room and he took the aliens shirt off, Zim let him and he watched Dib take his own shirt off too. "Lay down~" Dib gently commanded, Zim followed his order and got on the bed and laid down.
