Chapter 32: Bloody Wedding

Itachi and Sasuke entered the dark cavern, the dark corridor lit with low burning candles. They had walked for hours after the visit with Kisame, who had delivered Obito Uchiha's message. It seemed they had no choice but to follow and join the Akatsuki, even if it is just to find Naruto and leave it at that. Sasuke knew his only way was through the Akatsuki, the fact Obito is also a fellow clan member, only made Sasuke trust him more. Nagato turned out to be an Uzumaki clan member and became Naruto's Sensei, Sasuke was beginning to think his meeting with Obito might not be any different, he wondered if he could take his training even further under the guidance of this new leader.

'How long has he hid from the world ? Obito Uchiha ... were you apart of the massacre ? Should I even care now ... these are the things I have to ask him'

Kisame noticed Sasuke's concentrated posture, he grinned "Listen kid, you aren't the only one who is confused. We had all thought he was an innocent kid named Tobi, then he turned out to be Madara Uchiha ... only to then reveal himself as this Obito guy. We all have questions ..."

Itachi nodded "I could never truly understand why Tobi's chakra gave me weird feelings, and because I never knew either Obito or Madara, there was no way to identify which was his real identity"

Kisame shook his head "I knew something was not right about him .. Ever since he revealed his Sharingan I knew he was something more than just a ghost"

Sasuke felt the weight of his Katana and felt reassured "He wont try anything funny will he ? I've had enough of old men trying to take my Sharingan"

Kisame snickered "He wont .. And for your information, he is no older than Kakashi ..."

"My apologies, the sooner we get to work the faster I slit Uzumaki throats"

Kisame stroked Samehadda as it purred "Well that will certainly be fun ... we're here"

The corridor opened up into a large dining hall, the remaining Akatsuki members sat around and drank, without their usual orders from Pain, the Akatsuki had used their hiatus to train and get royally pissed, not to different from their Tensei counterparts. Sasuke noticed a closed room at the end of the hallway, familiar Chakra emitting from behind the door, it was no doubt Kakashi, He moved forward to approach the room, but a scaly familiar hand stayed his path

Sasuke frowned "I thought I sensed a serpent nearby ... Kabuto"

"So we meet again Sasuke-Kun ... you look stronger"

"You look grosser ... now move aside"

"Afraid I can't let that happen, Obito wants time alone with his long lost friend, he will call for you in an hour, he wants you to unpack your things and get used to the layout of the base, get acquainted with your fellow members"

"Drop dead .. I am going to see Obi.."

Itachi grabbed his shoulder and shook his head calmly "We must respect Obito's privacy with a childhood friend once separated for decades"

"Hmmph ... I understand, I will be in my quarters until I am summoned"

"I agree, let's go unpack Sasuke"

Obito poured Kakashi a glass of Sake and passed it to his friend, Kakashi was still trembling and was still obviously under shock. He had said nothing since they entered the complex. He sat on the edge of the double bed, his hands shaking his glass, causing ripples and waves inside his glass. Obito had thrown a blanket over his friends shoulders but he still shook, he figured talking might be the only way, but before he could instigate the conversation, Kakashi bet him too it

"Obito, How are you still alive ... We lost you during the war with the Hidden Stone Village"
