That Night at the Playground

7 | hiro - you did the same thing

"Hiro!" Akira said that we'll meet at the nearby café.

She also lives at my apartment building. I am also the closest to her than the other two.

"Hey, where's the others?" I asked

"They'll be late. Should we go inside and find a seat?"

We entered the cafe and we took the seat next to the window. She went to the counter to order first.

I met Ayumi earlier. I met her by chance at Shun's work.

I took the chance to talk to her since she looks a bit worried I might tell anyone about her incident at the playground. And also her knocking me out.

While talking to her I knew she was shy so I asked her to meet me outside. I gave her the peach tea so we can have a conversation.

"You can order now, I already have mine" Akira said.

"Oh okay"

I went to the counter and ordered a latte. I'm not really good at strong caffeine so I always take latte.

*Doraemon ringtone

I grabbed my phone from my pocket and saw a notification.

[meMessage]

Akira: we're here at the cafe
Akira: hurry upp!

Bella: im on my way!

Aiko: me too

"Here's your latte!"

"Thanks" I put my phone in my pocket first and went back to the table.

"Ume is joining us too, is it okay?" she asked.

"Yeah it's fine" I answered.

They said we will be studying together so I only brought my laptop with me. I honestly don't want to study but I guess I'll just have to use the time properly instead of gaming.

But I wanted to game though...

"Ume, here!"

Ume is one of their friend that I don't really talk to. I just met her in college.

"Hi Hiro" she waved at me.

"Hey"

She sat beside Akira. I don't really mind going with them since they always invited me to hang out.

I opened my laptop and read my messages.

I saw messages from Shun and Kun but I haven't read them yet.

"Hiro, do you have a copy of the worksheet for yesterday's lab?" Akira asked me.

"Yes I have it, should I email it to you?"

"Yes and also share it to Ume"

"Got it"

I remember I don't have Ume's email.

"Excuse me, Ume. Can I have your email so I can send it to you?"

She did not looked at me.

"Yeah sure it's—"

"You can type it here" I let her type her email at my laptop.

"There" she said.

"Thanks"

After a while, Aiko and Bella joined us and we stayed there for 2 hours.
