One day, as Akram sat at his desk, drowning in paperwork, he couldn't help but steal glances at Kadira.

It had become his way of reassuring himself that she was still with him, still connected to him somehow, even if she couldn't respond. It was a small comfort, but it kept him going.

Then, something unbelievable happened. Kadira's hand twitched, just a small, almost imperceptible movement.

Akram froze, his heart pounding in his chest. He blinked, not trusting his own eyes, afraid that he was imagining things again.

But when he looked closer, she really had moved. His heart leaped with hope, a hope he had long buried.

"K-Kadira?" he whispered, his voice trembling. In an instant, he was by her side, his hands grasping hers tightly. "Kadira, can you hear me?"

Slowly, as if awakening from a deep sleep, Kadira's eyes fluttered open.

Akram's breath caught in his throat as he saw the life returning to her gaze.

He smiled, cried, and laughed all at once, unable to control the flood of emotions that overwhelmed him. It was too much, too intense to process.

"Begum... is it real?" His voice cracked with emotion. "Please, tell me it's real. Punch me if it is, or just smile at me-anything, Begum!"

Kadira's lips curved into a small, tender smile, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Seeing her respond, seeing that familiar smile, filled Akram's heart with a joy he hadn't felt in so long. They both began to cry, tears of relief, joy, and the release of all the pain they had endured.

Akram reached out, his fingers trembling as he gently touched her cheek.

The warmth of her skin beneath his fingertips was the most reassuring thing he had ever felt. "You're back," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "You're really back, Kadira."

Tears continued to stream down Kadira's face as she looked at him, her heart full of love and sorrow. "I missed you so much, Akram," she whispered, her voice shaky. "I missed everyone-Ishaan, Zeenat, Sahir, Mantriji, Nazeera, Maya... I missed you all so much. I prayed every night for God to bring me back to you. I wanted nothing more than to be here with you."

Akram's tears flowed freely as he held her hand tighter, his heart aching with both joy and pain.

"Why did you leave me?" he asked, his voice breaking. "Every day without you felt like I was dying inside. I didn't know how to live without you, Kadira. I was suffocating, lost..."

"It wasn't by choice," Kadira replied, her voice soft and filled with emotion.

"I never wanted to leave you. I cried every night, begging God to bring me back. I felt so alone, so lost without you. But I had no control... it was as if I was trapped in a nightmare I couldn't wake up from."

Akram's heart broke as he listened to her, the pain in her voice cutting through him like a knife.

"But you're here now," he whispered, his voice trembling. "You're back with me. That's all that matters. I won't let you go again, Kadira. I won't."

Kadira's tears continued to flow as she held onto his hand, feeling the strength and love in his grip.

"I was trapped in my own body," she explained, her voice barely above a whisper. "For two long years, I was desperate to come back, to see you, to be with our children. I felt like I was suffocating, like I was drowning in my depressed life. I couldn't bear it, Akram. I thought I'd lost everything-our love, our family... everything."
