Kadira rested whole day while Akram was busy due to the impending inauguration of the new mines which was found a while ago.
Dasis have been discussing all the day, how Akram and Kadira been more like a beautiful couple by now.
Leila who has been listening all this time, couldn't keep her patience anymore. No matter what she does, Akram has been ignoring her, while giving Kadira all his attention.
She thought Akram loved her all this time, but the ignorance from him makes her insecure. She is afraid Akram would no longer lover her. She wouldn't let this happen this to her. She doesn't know what would make Akram attract to her, but she has to do it now, if she doesn't the matter will go loose of her.
She is throwing a fit all over her room, dasis are afraid of how dangerous outcome would lead if Leila is throwing fit.
Meanwhile in Kadira's chambers
Dasis are giggling all the time around her. Kadira found it odd, decided to ask, what was so funny, that they are giggling every time around her.
" Maharani ji, aaj kal maharaj aur aap ke jodi ki baare me pura mahal charche pe hain ( Maharani, these days the whole palace is on hot topic of you and Maharaj) " She explained while giggling again.
Kadira smiled at this comment, she never thought the idea of she and Akram together would even exist, but now she thinks it may exist. Dasis bowed and retraced to go on their respective works.
Kadira has been trolling over the garden. The garden is full of roses of different kinds. This was the garden that Akram prepared for her last time. She thought it was unnecessary that time, but now she values even small gesture of him. She is having a good time under the soft rays of sun until someone who marched beside her.
Kadira turned to look who it was, and found Leila approaching her with her perfect innocence face masked over it. Over this all time, Leila had several attempts over Kadira to insult her , but only to get disappointed later. Kadira by now figured out that Leila is jealous of the relationship between her and Akram. She makes every attempt to stop them having a time together.
" Didi, where have you been all day yesterday? , I didn't see you at Maharani's palace" Leila asked with curiosity.
" I was at Akram's palace" Kadira said literally pouring oil on fire. Leila who knew all along, asked by gritting her teeth " Why were you there? Did you again offend Akram? " . " Why do you always think I am on verge of fighting with him, I was resting " Kadira said smirking.
" Why were you resting? " Leila asked. " Leila dear, don't you know that after you have a rough night, you ought to rest and Akram didn't even leave me the night before " Kadira said in a taunting tone.
" You.... Slut! , don't you dare say lies " Leila said angrily. " Why do you think I am a slut, I am the official queen of him and has every right to have the relationship with him meanwhile you are a just toy which can be tossed away anytime " Kadira said adding the fire to her anger.
" How dare you call me a toy!" Leila said raising her hand to slap her but she is stopped by Kadira. Kadira instead tossed her hands in a swift leading Leila to fall on the grounds.
" Serves you better " Kadira said laughing at her. Dasis around the garden who witnessed all this are giggling hadly by now.
" You will have to pay for this" Leila said angrily while trying to stand with a heavy lehenga weighing her down. She glared at the dasis who have been laughing at her, they stopped at once.
" We will see later who will pay whom" Kadira said while ignoring her and walking away.
Leila couldn't take this insult anymore. She barged outside the garden to her chambers in her heavy lehenga which is covered in all dirt, because she had a dirty fall now.
Kadira couldn't control but just laugh how dumb Leila looked now, she was joined by dasis. The atmosphere became light again after Leila was gone.
While Kadira continued her walk, she saw a small girl running errands for the older dasi at the corner. She found it amusing how swiftly that girl has been doing the gardening for a few minutes.
When Kadira approached her from behind, the girl who has been digging the soil at once threw the dirt behind unaware of the fact that Maharani is behind." Aah... " Kadira led out a scream. The dirt flew all over her clothes. The girl who was crouching all this time at once turned, shocked to find Maharani behind her. " Maharani Sahiba, aap.... " She said shocked. Before she could say anything, dasi beside her at once made her bow her to the ground.
" Sahiba, I made a grave mistake, please spare my life " Girl said while crying. Kadira crouched to her while cooing her" Don't be sorry, it was my mistake to come behind " .
" No maharani, please dont say like this, it was my mistake for not noticing you, please punish me " She said crying.
" Sshhh, don't cry anymore, am I scolding you?" Kadira said while lifting her. The girl at once stopped crying. " But.... " She was stopped at once by Kadira " No buts, what is your name girl? "
The girl said while wiping her face " Malti" . " Ok Malti, what are you doing here doing the gardening? " Kadira asked her. " I am working here in place of my mother who has been sick all this time" Malti replied. Kadira was stunned how mature Malti is , to take over the burden of work at this age.
" But you should be playing around with your friends right? " Kadira asked. Malti explained how her family condition is. Her family is having difficulty even to have a one meal a day. They are so poor that they have to starve for days if there's not money.
Kadira is touched at the girl's story. She didn't knew that there was so poverty in the empire. She thought they are treated equally but even in this time differences still exist.
