The next morning, Clara dressed at top speed and disappeared from the dormitory before Gwen had even got her shirt on.

'Does she think she'll turn into a madman by staying in a room too long with me?' Gwen asked loudly, as Clara's robes whipped around the door.

Lavender and Parvati said nothing, and followed Clara out quickly, apparently too embarrassed about the events of last night to say anything.

'It's not your fault,' Hermione said reassuringly, though this did not do much to put Gwen at ease.

Five minutes later, the girls met Harry and Ron in the common room, both of whom looked as miserable as Gwen felt.

'What's wrong?' Hermione asked, catching their expressions. 'You look absolutely-- oh for heaven's sake.'

Gwen followed her gaze; she was looking at the common room notice board, where a large new sign had been put up.

'They are the limit,' Hermione said grimly, taking down the sign which Fred and George had pinned over the date of the first Hogsmeade weekend in October. 'We'll have to talk to them, Ron.'

Ron looked positively alarmed. 'Why?'

'Because we're prefects!' said Hermione, as they climbed through the portrait hole. 'It's up to us to stop this kind of thing!'

Ron said nothing. Gwen managed a grin at his expression; he looked as though that the prospect of stopping Fred and George doing what they liked was not one that he found inviting.

'Anyway, what's up Harry?' Hermione asked, as they continued down a flight of stairs. 'You look really angry about something.'

'Seamus reckons he's lying about You-Know-Who,' Ron answered when Harry didn't respond.

'Yeah, Clara thinks so too,' Hermione said gloomily.

'Been having a nice little chat with her about whether or not I'm a lying, attention-seeking prat, have you?' said Harry loudly.

'Actually, she told her to keep her fat mouth shut,' Gwen said calmly. 'And it'd be nice if you stopped jumping down our throats, Harry, because if you hadn't noticed, we're all on your side.'

There was a short pause. Harry then looked at Gwen, as if remembering that she were in fact there that night in the graveyard too.

'Sorry,' he mumbled.
