Chapter 9 - The Wave Mission Pt 1

It had been a month since the fight against the Joshin character and it had been a week since Team 7 had returned home.

Currently, Ryouta sat in the library, perfecting his Hiraishin no Jutsu. He had the knowledge to complete the Jutsu long ago, he just never had the need to.

But now, the boy had made his own formula and after a week of testing, he had finally mastered the Hiraishin no Jutsu.

This was a great jutsu to use to escape from Orochimaru when the time came.

Though that wasn't all he worked on. The boy decided to fully master fūinjutsu, by learning sub branches of sealing.

The two sub branches he decided to master were Jikūkan Fūinjutsu (Space & Time Sealing Arts) and Kekkai Fūinjutsu (Barrier Sealing Arts).

Overall, for the past few months of being genin, Ryouta had made leaps and bounds of progress in his strength. He had also progressed in his training, learning Mokuton jutsu in no time.

A week later, he was approached by Kakashi. "Ryouta-kun. Meet me at the Hokage's office in an hour." Kakashi stated as Ryouta nodded in response.

'An hour? That means, I've got an hour to pass.' As Ryouta began to walk out of the Team 7 training ground, he suddenly sensed someone approaching.

"Yo, Ino." He greeted with a friendly smile as she smiled at him. "Hey. Uhm. I wanted to ask you something." She stated while looking at the brown haired boy who looked back.

"What is it?" He asked as he tilted his head slightly. "W-Well. I was thinking. Uhm. We should, you know, go out sometime. Maybe go out to Yakiniku Q's Barbecue place." She asked while playing with her fingers and looking down, preparing herself for rejection.

"Hmm. I wouldn't be opposed to it. But it can't be anytime soon, I suspect we're going on a mission sometime soon so we really can't but, after I get back. Then we can go out together for sure." Ryouta responded as Ino's mood was instantly lifted.

"Great! Just come to this address when you get back, then we can spend the day together!" Ino did a 180, one moment she was as shy as a certain Hyūga, then after, she's as confident as usual.

"S-sure." Ryouta stated while taking the sheet of paper and storing it in a storage seal. "Alright! It's a date, let me know when you get from your mission, Ryouta-kun!" She stated while skipping off.

'Troublesome, should I really date her. Maybe sometime after the timeskip. I don't really feel right dating a child, even though I may br a child myself physically, but mentally...' Ryouta thought while deep in thought.

The boy shook his head, ridding himself of those thoughts and getting ready to start a light training session to see his control over Mōkuton.

1 Hour Later-
"You're unusually late." Kakashi stated as he watched his favourite student walk up the stairs to the entrance of the Holage Residence.

"Sorry I'm late, I got caught up in some training." Ryouta apologised as his teammates waved it off. Kakashi shrugged kn response as the team walked into the office, the boy wasn't that late anyway.

Team 7 faced the secretary's desk as she looked at the team with a friendly expression on her face. "Team 7? Hokage-sama is waiting for you in his office." She stated as Kakashi gave an eye smile in response, thanking her and guiding his team to the Hokage's office.

Kakashi knocked on the doors of the Hokage's office, hearing a 'Come in!' from the professor. The Jōnin sensei of Team 7 walked in with his squad. "Team 7 reporting for another C-Rank." Kakashi stated as Hiruzen nodded. "This is a bodyguard mission. You will be escorting a bridge builder to Nami no Kuni. Bring in Tazuna!" The old Sandaime ordered to the ANBU as they complied, a few seconds later, a drunkard walked in.
