It had been a tough two weeks since then, and it was finally time for rookie 10 to partake in the chūnin exams.
All members of team 7 participated in a gruelling bell test against a fairly serious Kakashi, and they actually won and successfully managed to take the bells.
While the team's indivual strength and talent had grown during the year, they never lost the sense of teamwork and its importance due to the sheer amount of missions they did together.
No matter the odds, they were able to work together whenever the situation called for it. After the bell test, Kakashi had the utmost confidence in their ability to become chūnin.
Though it wasn't just Ryouta and Sasuke doing the work. Tsunade had arrived a week earlier and agreed to take on both Ino and Sakura as her students.
Due to Ino having clan responsibilities, Sakura became her disciple with Ino joining whenever she had time.
What Tsunade found was both had incredible chakra control, with Sakura outshining Ino by leaps and bounds.
This lead to both starting their medic training with Ryouta joining in on occasion. Ryouta had actually found that Sakura and Ino, while growing much stronger than in the original series with his aide, were actually balanced, neither one of them had an edge over the other.
Sasuke studied directly under Kakashi, wanting to learn more about how to use his Kaminari (Lightning) chakra and his sword training.
While his teammates had found a teacher willing to teach them, Ryouta has his father and Yamato, who was assigned to train him by the Hokage.
Overall, over the past two weeks, Ryouta, Sakura and Sasuke had increased their strength ready for the chūnin exams.
Ryouta even had the shock of his life on his first day of training under his father, known as the Calamity Tiger across the shinobi world and Ryouta had found out just why he was given that name.
Flashback-
As Ryouta walked down and into his back yard which was used as a private training ground for the main family of the Senju clan.As he approached, he heard his father speaking with an unrecognised voice. The sound of the voice his father was speaking to sounded gruff, animal like.
As Ryouta revealed himself, he received the shock of his life. "Hey Ryouta, meet Byakko, my personal summon. Chief of the White Tiger Clan hailing from 'Ushinatta Forest'." Teichi greeted his son as he saw him out of the corner of his eye.
"Hmm, so this is the kid huh?" The colossal white tiger asked Teichi while lowering his body towards Ryouta.
The genin in question, felt fear, but didn't back down and stepped forward. "Hello Byakko-sama. My name is Senju Ryouta, it's an honour to meet a summon for the first time." Ryouta stated as he turned to his father.
"Tou-sama. I have two questions." Ryouta stated as he faced his father who was watching the interaction, amused.
"Shoot." The elder Senju replied with a polite smile. "Well first, what exactly is a summon. Does this mean that Byakko-sama isn't a real tiger or does it mean something else?" Ryouta asked as Teichi laughed out loud boisterously.
"Hahahahaha! No Ryouta-kun, Byakko-kun is indeed a real tiger. A summon is a technique that allows shinobi to bring animals or objects to their location for combat assistance.
You can summon weapons after sealing them, but animals? You need to have signed a contract with an animal for you to be able to summon it.
And even then, you have to have signed a pact with a personal summon, they will be the ones who will respond to your call first in a desperate time of battle. I was thinking, if I were to perish in battle, I don't want this summon to go to waste, and I don't have any other children besides you, so.
