Havoc made their way through the quiet forests of Endor, treading on twigs and rocks for as long as they made their way; the forests went on for as far as the eye could see.
"Sir, where is Forex?" Dorne inquired as they entered deeper in to the creaking woods.
"Garza's had him shut down while they investigate something. Apparently his CPU was showing signs of malfunction. They're running remote maintenance on him; he'll be back for the next mission." Sterling confirmed.
They soon came to the Imperial base, having not landed far given the lack of open space on the planet. The base looked unguarded, and after a few moments to gather the surroundings, Sterling gave the order to move in. They did so slowly as Yuun kept scanning for any signs of hostiles.
"Master, what are we doing after this?" Cala asked her Master.
"I don't know. Probably back to Tython, why?" Avo replied, keeping his voice low.
"Just curious is all. Are we gonna see your girlfriend again?" Cala jokingly asked.
"What? I don't have a girlfriend!" Avo protested in a loud whisper.
"Yeah you do! I sense your looove for Effri whenever you're around her! It's so cute!"
"Cala, enough. May I remind you we're on an important mission here?"
"Yeah but it's boring! These guys don't speak to me!"
"Why are we with a yapping twelve year old?" Vik asked dismissively.
"I'm not twelve! I'm thirteen!" Cala replied, insulted.
"Avo and Cala are valuable assets to any team, Vik. We're going to need their help with this one." Sterling responded.
"This guy gets it! Thanks Sterling." Cala chirped back.
"You're welcome, Master Jedi, now do me a favour and keep your voice down, don't want anything unexpected to happen... Oh great." Sterling trod on something unfamiliar. He didn't move his foot as he looked down.
"Landmines!" Yuun called out as his scanner lit up with Sterling's activation – they must have been inactive until he had activated them. Sterling hit the deck alongside the rest of Havoc as the mines sprung up and detonated in the air above them, rattling their skulls. Avo was first to his feet as blaster bolts sprayed in their direction. Cala grabbed Sterling, Vik, Dorne and Yuun to their feet as she rushed to their position to defend them from whatever came their way.
"You'll be okay." She smiled to each of them as she pulled them up, nourishing them with the force as best she could for a Padawan, as powerful as she was. Havoc engaged in combat, using the trees, bushes and rocks for cover as Imperial guards spilled out the base. These were no ordinary guards either, they were the best the Imperials had to offer, Havoc had to be careful.
As Havoc gained footing in the fight, Avo started to slowly advance forward as Cala joined him. As they made their advance, Havoc split in to two on Sterling's orders, flanking both left and right as they soon dispatched the guards who were exposed, though many retreated back into the base with the alarm sounding for reinforcements. Avo and Cala stabbed their blades in to the door in sync, cutting through the reinforced steel before sending the door flying inwards and knocking most of the defenders down, making them an easy kill for Havoc.
