Garza: So that's it? They've just defected?
Jorgan: That's how the Sergeant put it.
Opilio: I'm sorry there was nothing more I could do, General.
Garza: Don't blame yourself Sergeant. I should have seen this coming. They've been off for weeks now. I knew something was up when their bodycams were disabled. What's important is that Havoc is still active.
Sterling: Sir?
Garza: Havoc is bigger than Tavus and his squad, Corporal. I'd like to offer you to be the new CO of Havoc in his departure.
Sterling: I'm honoured... Truly. Thank you General. But I believe Jane to be the better candidate?
Opilio: What? Are you sure Bren?
Sterling: Of course. You're a natural leader. You're the perfect fit. I'll follow you to the end already.
Garza: Well, Sergeant?
Opilio: Yes Sir. I accept.
Garza: Well, congratulations Commander. You're the new CO of the new Havoc. Your first task is to assemble the new recruits. You and Sterling will serve as the first two. I have another candidate already. Jorgan.
Jorgan: What? Sir? Are you sure?
Garza: Why not? You're experienced, you've proven yourself capable and you have worked with SpecForce already. You're a natural fit.
Jorgan: Yes Sir. I accept the assignment.
Garza: Excellent. Now, your overall mission is to be the elimination of the old Havoc.
Sterling: So soon? How can we track them?
Garza: The SIS will be our ally here. Not to mention there are some leads to chase. Havoc always had friends in low places. They're handier than you think. The smuggling ring around Ord Mantell was operated by a smuggler called Skavaak. Problem is, he hasn't been seen in months. Chances are he's dead. So, we've been looking in to his network already. There's a lab on Coruscant that's been shipping him supplies or was while he was alive anyway. It's Republic. You're going to check it out.
Jorgan: A republic lab? How?
Garza: It's possible Havoc were already behind this for longer than we thought.
Jorgan: Typical, traitors being friends with smuggling scum.
Garza: Don't discount them, Jorgan. A few friends on the outside can be valuable assets.
Sterling: What kind of requisitions are we dealing with now we're Havoc, Garza?
Garza: Normally Havoc are distributed standard SpecForce weaponry and equipment to match their talents and individual strengths. I'm now authorising any-and-all equipment for you. Unsanctioned and prototype weaponry and equipment will now be made available to you.
Opilio: So, anything we want?
Garza: You're up against what we just until now, considered the best of the best. You're gonna need all the help you can get admittedly.
Sterling: You said... prototypes are now sanctioned?
Garza: Indeed. I had you in mind, Bren.
Opilio: What are you so excited about?
Sterling: Well, I've been working on something in the Republic labs. A prototype weapon series that comes with equipment too. Plasmatech.
Opilio: You've evolved plasma beyond grenades?
Sterling: Aye, a blaster rifle with plasma-based ammunition. More efficient, more economical with a wide range of versatility. Can be used to fire plasma flares, ion waves, ion bolts, it can be used to launch a torrent of plasma spheres that detonate upon impact and best of all, it can change utility in to a plasma-based railgun. Been working on it for years.
Opilio: Why's it not been sanctioned? Sounds game changing.
Sterling: Such destruction has required vigorous testing. Not to mention a railgun's power can break an arm if not steady. It requires a strong hand and adept aim. It will accompany the armour. With plasma-based arms coming attached with it, you can make it rain on the front. You can see why it's not been handed out to regs.
Opilio: Must cost a fortune.
Sterling: It does. Thankfully, Garza has an open chequebook.
Garza: Sterling's weaponry has been revolutionary. It was only fair to back it. You'll all be receiving our new prototype SpecForce armour too. Based off Sterling's designs, we've made a suit capable of adapting to any opponent and any condition. Kinetic clamps to resist force attacks from Sith, enhanced shielding, lighter, stronger materials to increase mobility. A versatile wrist launcher with the capability of providing a wrist-shield to resist lightsaber attacks.
Jorgan: This is something else, General.
Garza: I expect your feedback upon the completion of every mission. It's excelled in the lab after years of testing. It's a good job I kept it from Tavus and co.
Jorgan: Who gets the Plasmatech?
Sterling: I recommend Opilio once more. I'm sure you can agree General.
Garza: Indeed. Commander, the tech is yours. Your record and aptitude in combat makes you the sole candidate. Wield it with pride. Bring the Republic's enemies to their knees.
Opilio: Thank you, General. I won't let you down. I'll use them to the best of their abilities.
Garza: I know I can. Come clean out this lab on Courscant. You'll receive your new equipment upon landing. Garza out.
=====================Garza, Gen. Signal lost.========================
Sterling: Well, that just happened. What a first day.
Opilio: Yeah... well. Welcome to Havoc Jorgan. Pleasure to have you.
Jorgan:...Pleasure to be here... Commander...
