Felix sat in his room, staring at the ceiling, trying to process the whirlwind of emotions he was feeling. A few minutes ago, he was very happy  that his parents would let him do whatever he wanted, but now he's definitely not okay. Not when his best friend, Han Ji Sung, had just dropped a bombshell—an arranged marriage had been set for him. The news had come as a shock, a sharp contrast to the quiet and calm life Felix had always hoped for himself.

Ji Sung, ever the gossip, had found out about the arrangement through online chatter, and it wasn't long before the news spread like wildfire. The youngest omega son of the prestigious Lee family, the mysterious ethereal beauty, was to be married off, and the buzz only intensified with each passing day. Felix had always known that being an omega made him different, made him precious, but he had never imagined that it would lead to this—a marriage arranged without his consent.

Felix's anger simmered as he wiped the tears from his cheeks. Tears fell down out of his control being the sensitive omega he is he couldn't stand this kind of a situation. He loves his parents, dearly, but how could they do this to him? He had always dreamed of a love-filled life, of finding someone who truly cared for him, not being forced into a bond. The thought of marrying a stranger, someone he didn't know, terrified him. What if this person didn't love him? What if he was miserable for the rest of his life? He felt like all the freedom he searched for disappeared in a second. He felt like he's dragged to a cage that he himself could not stop it.

Determined to confront his parents, Felix left his room and went searching for them, but they weren't home. The house staff informed him that his papa and dada were at an urgent meeting, so Felix decided to wait in the living room. Trying to distract himself from crying, he put on his favourite movie, Flipped, but even the familiar scenes couldn't lift his spirit. His thoughts kept drifting back to the impending marriage, and his heart felt heavy with dread.

Hours later, when Taehyung and Jungkook finally returned, Felix didn't waste any time. "Papa, Dada, is it true?" he asked, his voice trembling with the weight of his emotions. "Am I really going to be married off? Why didn't you tell me?"

Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged a heavy glance before sitting down with their son, who has always been a ball of sunshine and now bearing a gloomy expression in his face. "Felix, baby," Taehyung began softly, "we didn't mean to keep this from you. We were going to tell you once everything was finalized. We wanted to make sure you were protected and safe, baby."

"Safe?" Felix echoed, his confusion deepening. "What do you mean, Papa?"

Jungkook sighed, reaching out to take the younger omega's hand. "You're our precious little bean, Felix. There are dangers out there, especially for someone like you. We've always known that one day, we'd have to make sure you were protected, that you had someone strong by your side. We are not always going to be here. Papa and Dada have to leave you alone someday, and your hyung will also have his own family to look after in the future. So, it's a must for us to look for a safe and promising future for you, baby."

Taehyung nodded, his expression serious yet sad. "The world isn't kind to omegas, especially not to one as rare and beautiful as you. There are people out there who would try to take advantage of you to hurt you. I've told you this many times before, too, lixie. We couldn't bear the thought of something happening to you."

Felix's anger began to waver as he listened to his parents' words. He knew they were speaking the truth—he had always been aware of the dangers that came with being an omega. But still, the thought of being married off without a say in the matter felt like a betrayal.

"We've chosen someone who can keep you safe, Felix," Jungkook continued. "Someone who can give you the life you've always dreamed of."

Taehyung's voice softened as he added, "We know how much you want to own a café, to have a place that's yours. But, before that, we want you to get the protection you'll need when dealing with the outside world and strangers. You are not used to it, darling. So. we chose an alpha who will provide you the protection you need, lixie. We can guarantee that."

Felix's heart clenched at the mention of his dream. It was true—he had always wanted to open a café, a small, cozy place where he could serve coffee and pastries, where he could bake his favorite brownies and serve them to customers, where he could express himself through his creations. The idea of having that dream handed to him was tempting, but the thought of achieving it through an arranged marriage felt wrong.

"Who is it?" Felix asked quietly, his voice barely above a whisper and head hanging low.

Taehyung and Jungkook hesitated before answering. "Hwang Hyunjin," Taehyung said finally. "The only son of the Hwang family, one of the most powerful families in Korea."

Felix's eyes widened in shock. He had heard of Hyunjin, of course. Everyone had. Hyunjin was a dominant alpha, known for his brilliance and his looks, the rising star of the business world who is also a model for high-end brands. But he was also known for being distant, cold, and entirely focused on his career. The thought of marrying someone like that sent a shiver down Felix's spine.

Meanwhile, Hyunjin was dealing with his own turmoil. After his impulsive declaration to his father about having found someone, he had been left with no choice but to follow through. His secretary had spent days searching for information on the Lee family's omega son, but it wasn't until news of searching for a potential male for the omega son of Lee's spread. They finally found what they were looking for.

Hyunjin couldn't deny the relief he felt when the Lees accepted him as a candidate. His plan had been simple—agree to the marriage, keep his father off his back, and finally put an end to the endless blind dates. But now that it was becoming real, doubts began to creep in. He had never believed in love or fate, and this marriage is supposed to be nothing more than a practical arrangement. Yet, the memory of Felix—his scent, his fragility, the way he had looked that day—lingered in Hyunjin's mind. He is determined not to get swayed by the feelings no matter what.

When the Lees contacted his secretary to arrange a meeting, Hyunjin knew there was no turning back. He had agreed to this marriage out of convenience, but the more he thought about Felix, the more he realized that this might not be as simple as he had imagined.

Hyunjin had planned to give Felix everything he wanted, respect he deserved, and a safe life, the protection of being married to one of the most powerful alphas in the country. But he had also planned to keep his distance, to treat the marriage as nothing more than a contract. It's just another business contract. There's nothing more or less to it. That's it. He convinced himself repeatedly every passing day.

For Felix, the days leading up to the meeting with Hyunjin were filled with anxiety and uncertainty. He couldn't shake the feeling that his life was slipping out of his control, that he was being pushed into something he wasn't ready for. But the more he thought about his parents' words, the more he realized that maybe, just maybe, this wasn't the end of his dreams. Maybe it was just the beginning. Maybe he'll get a loving partner, and his life will keep getting brighter. Maybe the alpha will actually care about their relationship. Maybe all the rumours about the alpha's personality are lies. That's all Felix can hope for.

As the day of the meeting approached, both Felix and Hyunjin found themselves questioning their decisions, unsure of what the future held. Neither of them knew that this arranged marriage, which had started as nothing more than a means to an end, would soon turn into something far more complicated than either of them had anticipated. The universe had its own plans, and neither Felix nor Hyunjin could escape the ties that were slowly but surely binding them together.
