Later that evening, Felix sat on the couch in the living room, his hands fiddling nervously in his lap as he glanced toward the alpha, who was seated beside him. The air felt thick with unspoken thoughts and lingering tension, and Felix's mind raced with a mix of confusion and uncertainty. He had no idea what his parents wanted to talk about with him and Hyunjin, but the conversation earlier about the engagement party still weighed heavily on him. He even forgot to take off the messy apron he wore and to wipe off the flour he got in his face while baking, cause he was busy thinking about what his papa and dada wanted to talk about inviting Hyunjin to their house.

Hyunjin, on the other hand, seemed calm-at least from his facial expressions. But Felix noticed how the alpha's fingers tapped lightly on his knee, a subtle sign that he was just as unsettled as Felix felt. The sight was oddly comforting in a way Felix hadn't expected. Maybe Hyunjin wasn't as unaffected by all of this as he appeared. Then suddenly the alpha talked "Mmm... I think you should change before your parents get here." and by that the younger was shaken into the reality of his appearance. He felt embarrassed for how he looked in front of the alpha but then again he can't leave the alpha to be alone there. "I ... It's okay I can wait till-" omega murmured in a little voice only to get interrupted by the alpha "No, it's okay. You can go change. You seem uncomfortable like this. Go change into something comfortable. Don't mind me."

The reason why Hyunjin suggested the omega change was not that the omega looked uncomfortable, only because Hyunjin himself found it unbearable, not to get tempted by how adorable the younger looked with messy hair and the chick-printed apron. "Mmmmm.. then you can watch anything on the TV meanwhile. I have a huge movie collection." Omega suggested happily with shining eyes almost looking proud about his movie collection and Hyunjin adored the younger for being so pure. He replied, "Yeah, sure I will." And grabbed the remote controller and then only the younger ones left to freshen up.

Felix returned from the bath, now dressed in a cute baby blue sweater and a pair of white shorts. Hyunjin glanced at the younger from the movie he was watching and quickly looked away. The younger one, unaware of the alpha who was stealing glances at him, sat cross-legged next to the alpha on the sofa busy with his phone. Younger got a message from Jisung apologizing for not showing up and the sudden change of plan. Then Felix remembered what happened earlier, how he mistakenly hugged the alpha thinking it was Jisung. Without him knowing, he was smiling at the phone like a fool and that caught someone else's attention.

They said someone was trying so hard not to invade the younger's privacy by looking at who the younger was chatting with such a fond and lovely smile. He couldn't help but get jealous of the person who made the younger smile so brightly. Hyunjin was staring for too long the younger noticed it too. When the younger looked his way, Hyun-jin was quick to look away, awkwardly clearing his throat.

Right then Mr. and Mrs. Lee entered the room, their faces lit up with smiles, making Felix feel even more nervous. His Dada, Mr. Jungkook, was the first to speak, his tone bright and enthusiastic.

"Boys," he began, "we wanted to check in and talk about the engagement party. It's just around the corner, and we want to make sure everything is perfect for the both of you."

Felix tensed. The engagement party. Of course. That's what this was about. His stomach churned as he nodded along, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on him once more.

Taehyung chimed in, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "We've been planning every detail-everything is going to be spectacular and memorable. You'll love it! All you have to do is show up, and everything will be taken care of."

Felix forced a smile, his voice coming out a bit strained. "That sounds... great, Papa." But deep down, the dread only grew stronger. He glanced at Hyunjin, hoping for some sort of reassurance.
