Diego hops over the stone wall, Lila following closely behind. I groan, lifting my dress and swiftly moving my legs over the wall. "Is this stealth stuff really necessary?"
Five smirks, hopping over beside me and shrugging, the two of us running to join Diego and Lila. We crouch behind an old grey car, watching as people enter the building. Only problem was there were two huge— and I mean huge, police officers out front.
Lila glances back and Five and I, before turning to Diego and shrugging. "So? What's the plan?" She asks, keeping her voice quiet so nobody heard us. To be quite frank, us being all creepy and stuff like this was not helping. If anyone were to find us, we'd look ten times more suspicious like this, than if we just casually walked towards the door. But who am I to judge?
"We infiltrate, we identify, we extract. Double time." Diego whispers, turning back to us and waving his hand around like a mad man. I raise an eyebrow as Diego leans around the car to get a better look at the front entrance.
Lila only frowns, "What the hell is talking about?" She asks nobody in particular, but sure damn hope she wasn't expecting an answer from me because I'm just as lost as she is.
"Get the old man and get out fast." Five replies, not taking his eyes off of the front door either. I exhale, shifting slightly and resting one of my hands on his knee to keep myself upright. These heels are already killing me.
Diego turns around, his eyes wide. "That's what I said." Okay, now I understand why they put him in mental asylum. If anybody— anybody looked at me like that, I'd register them myself... where's my pen and paper? I think Diego needs to go back. Get some more severe therapy.
"Yeah, except you were waving your hand around in our faces like we were dogs or something." I snap quietly, narrowing my eyes. "And Five's words were much simpler. Not all of us have the hero complex you do, Diego."
The man simply rolls his eyes, before turning back to the front. "On me..." He whispers, before moving out from behind the car. Way to look nonchalant.
If I was a guard and I saw us, I'd arrest us on the fucking spot. How is this helping anyone in the slightest? If anything we're bringing more attention to ourselves—
Lila turns back to Five and I, glancing at me momentarily, before smiling at Five. "After you." She whispers, earning a look from Five. "What? I can't be polite? Besides, I'd prefer go with another girl. Y'know, make it more believable and stuff. Two friends going to a gala—"
"Cut the crap." Five interrupts, his tone snappy and short. That's the Five mom always described; heartless, cold, mean, selfish. "All right? My dim witted brother might buy your bullshit, but I don't trust you for a second."
We both stare at Five for a second, before a small smirk forms on Lila's lips. "O ye of little faith." She mumbles, to which I turn to her with a look of pure 'what the fuck?'. This whole thing was getting weirder and weirder.
"Stick it up your ass." Five growls back, grabbing my hand that rested on his knee. I flinch slightly at the contact, not expecting such a possessive reaction from him. "And there's no way in hell I'm leaving you alone with her."
Lila only scoffs, forcing a small smile before turning and rushing after Diego. "Let's try to not make any more enemies, yeah?" I whisper, glancing at Five, before moving to follow Lila, Five hot on my heels.
We move behind a green car, and then a black one. After kneeling for a while, my legs start to hurt and my feet go numb. "Okay, for the love of god... there's a back entrance, Diego." I huff, grabbing Five's hand, dragging him to the back door and casually walking inside.
