You followed him as he led the way outside. The night air was cool and crisp. The moonlight cast long shadows, giving the surroundings an almost ethereal quality.

But there was definitely one problem . . .

Your initial plan had been to scope for nearby buildings. Ways to escape. There was no way that Sukuna would have been able to monitor you forever. He was bound to slip up at some point or another. Then you would make your way to a nearby building.

Except . . .

There was nothing.

You glanced around, trying to spot any potential escape routes, but the landscape was barren of anything human made - no buildings, no towers, no signs of life beyond the immediate vicinity of the safe house.

Your heart sank as you realized your initial plan was unraveling. It wasn't just the absence of escape routes that was disheartening; it was the unsettling realization that you were more isolated than you had thought. The safe house was in the middle of nowhere, carefully chosen to keep you away from prying eyes and potential rescue attempts.

Well shit.

Sukuna, sensing your frustration, slowed his pace and turned to look at you. "Something wrong?"

You shook your head. "Oh no. Just a little tired."

He frowned a little, "We can head in if you want."

You shook your head again, "No, I'm fine." You managed a convincing smile, "I promise."

Sukuna studied you for a moment longer, then nodded. "Alright. If you say so."

He led the way down a narrow, winding path through the trees, the crunch of leaves underfoot the only sound accompanying you. As you walked, the darkness seemed to press in from all sides, the moonlight barely reaching through the dense canopy.

Your mind raced, trying to come up with a new plan. The idea of escaping this place was slipping further from your grasp. The lack of visible landmarks and structures meant you had no reference points, no direction to move towards.

You caught glimpses of Sukuna's silhouette against the moonlight. He seemed at ease, confident even. It was clear he was accustomed to these surroundings. He was accustomed to having control. That thought was unsettling.

The longer you walked, the more you felt like a puppet being guided through a stage you didn't quite understand.

"So, Sukuna," you started, trying to keep your voice casual as you walked alongside him. "How long have you been here?"

Sukuna's eyes flickered with amusement. "Long enough to know every inch of this place. It's not exactly the bustling metropolis you're used to, but it serves its purpose."

"It's isolated."

"I know what you're doing brat. You only wanted to come outside to look for escape routes." He looked over his shoulder and smirked. "Do you think I'm dumb?"

You stopped in your tracks. Sukuna had seen right through your facade. The realization that your not-so-carefully laid plans had been uncovered made your heart race.

"Alright, you caught me," you said, trying to maintain a semblance of calm despite the heat rising in your cheeks. "I was hoping to find a way out."

Sukuna turned fully to face you, his expression a mix of amusement and something softer, almost like sympathy. "Did you really think it would be that easy? This place is designed to keep intruders out, and it's even better at keeping people in."
