Sora's POV:

I lost track of days since Jaeyun brought me back here from that night when a Zeller nearly killed me.
Yet thoughts still accure to me wondering if everything is still under restrictions back there, how's school going and everything.

It's unusual for me to admit but I miss my boring life. Even though I lived alone, was alone all day except on weekends with my friends I still miss it. I guess it's safe to say I'm feeling homesick more than anything.

Never did I imagine this pendant I'm wearing to be the last thing my parents warned me never to wear and I still went against their warnings after their death and wore it till I lost it and it found it's way to me in this other world.

Jaeyun's room is nicer than I pictured, I did come here once but that didn't go well for me and I was too terrified to see the interior of this place.

King sized bed, modern technology, a big desk Infront of the beautiful giant window that overlooks the entire realm like it's in the palm of your hand.

From eavesdropping on their conversations I assume they're more modern and much more human like in terms of intelligence unlike what people go on and on about imagining.

Looking around briefly as some servants came in not long after Jaeyun's orders with my stuff. I guess I'm really being in the same room as the devil himself.

My eyes fell at a balcony over at the bed side of the giant room. It's placement too is nice. Guess he has taste. King sized bed in the middle with the glorious balcony on the right side casting not just a view straight from heaven but giving a view of the red moon slowly colliding with the sun as it's rising.

That reminds me of solar eclipses but it's far from that here.

A yawn escaped my lips, rubbing my eyes softly I walked to the railing of the balcony watching the extravagant view.

"Don't make things harder by slipping down the railings for your carelessness." A cold voice spoke from behind, walking up towards my figure facing it's back as they came out of the bedroom's shadows.

"Wasn't this all why you despised me?" I look at him, standing beside me watching the moon and sun's collision with his hands held together behind his back.

It'd be wrong for me not admit because sometimes despite his coldness I feel him having an actual reason behind it all like he has no option but to be the way he is.

He looked back at my face for a solid two minutes before looking back  at the view, swallowing a nervous gulp I looked away focusing myself on the view too.

Too straight forward Sora he won't answer probably and you just dug yourself another hole closer to death.

"I still do, even if I were to attempt to stop this marriage or avoid it I can't do it," Slowly getting comfortable to the silence he finally answered to which I looked surprised.

I face him, confused with a glimpse of curiosity in me.

"Why not?"

"The wielder of the ruby moon stone is destined to rule this realm along side the king. It's written in our destiny to let this happen." He looked at me back, for once I see a glimpse of him being not only sincere with his words but also a slight feeling  hint of him being powerless over the situation.

"Even if you were to have a choice without destiny interfering would you make me do this?"

"With everything on the risks I would never have a choice either way." He confessed.

"Jaeyun" My gaze glances at his admirable face, I'm hesitating to ask him deeper things with how bad our conversations end always.

"Speak," He muttered, sharp yet responding without a second thought.

"What keeps you to keep going? Agreeing to a marriage that only days ago you hated the thought of and everything."

"What makes you ask?" He meets back my gaze

"Just wondered." I shrugged, shifting my hands to place them on the railing.

"My sister, Sim Yuna is my first reason; I wish to discover her alive or dead myself, my responsibilities and duties are a close second."

I search for something more in his eyes yet all I find is his soul's emptiness.

"I'm sorry for the loss of your parents..." I placed my hand on his shoulder as a sign of sorrow.

His eyes chased my hand's placement before shifting them back to my eyes.

Maybe he's just someone scarred, living in fear that he might fail the one thing he inherited from his family's legacy, his realm.

If helping him means we'll save both our worlds I have no valid reason to resist this all anymore.

Things have changed, maybe it's for the better. Only time will tell but I know one thing for sure...

This isn't the end; it's a whole new beginning.

Jay stood on top of the roof on the further opposite side of the castle watching the moon till his gaze shifted towards Jaeyun's chamber's balcony where he spotted the two having an actual conversation with no hard feelings for the other.

"About time they started talking don't you think?" Heeseung walked forward to stand beside him, gazing down at the same direction of Jaeyun's balcony with Jay with a smile.

"Is it possible to cancel this wedding?" Jay asked Heeseung through telepathy so no one could eavesdrop on them.

Heeseung's eyes glared at Jay's in response.

"Jay what are you trying to do?"

"I want her hyung–" Jay tried answering but Heeseung threw a slap in his face in disappointment.

"Do you realize Jaeyun could execute you for what you asked? She's our soon to be queen!!"

Heeseung's face turned pale upon realizing he had slapped his brother over frustration.

Jay stayed silent, nodding at Heeseung before leaving the roof to go to his chambers.

He turned the torches around his room replacing the lights in the dark before sleeping but stopped at his window that shows Jake's giant infamous window slightly.

"Maybe not this time but in another universe I'll be like him and have you Sora."

He went back to his bed but this time turned off the torches too, falling into his slumber in the dark.
