𝑇𝐻𝐸 𝐵𝐸𝑅𝐾𝐸𝐿𝐸𝑌 𝐵𝑅𝑂𝑇𝐻𝐸𝑅𝑆 𝐻𝐴𝑉𝐸 always been very isolated. It did them no good that they grew up on a farm in the middle of the woods with the closest people around being a strange house and the Polk's, who they wanted nothing to do with.

Brooks, the youngest of the two brothers, hated people, so he never tried to make friends or branch out past the farm. He survived in his life and he never tried to change it, but Bryson, the eldest of the two, was a kind soul, but a natural outcast. He always wished to bring joy to the people around him, but he had this switch in his brain that isolated him socially.

The brothers had heard that there was a new family moving into the strange house nearby, so Bryson wanted to be neighbourly. He was bringing over a dozen eggs from the farm in hopes to make some new friends, but fate would always be the enemy.

As Bryson was walking up the driveway, he came face to face with a woman, Solange Cassius, with a bloody axe in one hand and a shovel in the other. She had blood covering her hands and splattered all over her face and clothes. The moment their eyes caught each other, but adults stopped walking and stared at each other, stunned.

"What are you doing here? This is private property." Solange pointed out, not fond of strangers walking onto her property after she kills her prey.

"I can see why."

"You really want to be snarky when I'm covered in blood and holding two weapons, while all you have is a cute, little basket?" Bryson looked down at his basket full of eggs and his eyes softened. He looked back up at the woman as he held the basket a little closer to himself, feeling slightly insecure while he wondered, "Is 'cute' supposed to be an insult or a compliment 'cause I wove this basket myself."

Solange moved her weight to one foot and hesitated for a moment. She for some reason felt bad that she hurt his feelings. Bryson was tall, scruffy, muscular, intimidating, but he seemed so innocent. "I mean...it's a good basket. I'm just saying, we're...we look really...you know..."
