𝑇𝐻𝐸 𝑆𝑇𝑅𝐴𝑁𝐺𝐸 𝐷𝑂𝐿𝐿𝑆 𝑊𝐸𝑅𝐸 still hanging from the ceiling, spiralling down by the winding staircase. They had adapted to them, Shelby being sat on the staircase. They knew that these actual figures could do no harm, what was terrifying was who put them there.
Matt had returned home long before the police had ever gotten there. In fact, they weren't arriving at all. Shelby had called them, but they refused to come by the house. It was a boy who cried wolf situation, only Shelby was telling the truth.
The entire Miller family was together, plus Solange, who was leaning against the railing on the staircase near Shelby. Lee stood near her brother, who continuously looked up at the strange dolls. They were nothing short of creepy. "How'd they do this so quickly?"
"That's not the point, Matt. They broke into our home." Shelby stressed. "They locked us three in the basement. They were here. Do you realize how lucky we are that Solange is stupidly not afraid of anything? They lured us down there and made us watch this creepy video, but she was not scared once. Thank you, Solange. Truly."
Shelby put her hand on Solange's to further express how grateful she was that Solange continued to protect she and her family in dozens of different ways. Solange didn't even need to look at her, only numbly say, "Don't fucking touch me."
Shelby very quickly moved her hand away from Solange, scared she might cut it off. Shelby crossed her arms on her lap as Matt questioned, "Wait, what video?"
"God, why are you never here when important shit happens?" Solange breathed out, annoyed. Solange was the first one to turn right around and begin her journey down to the basement. Everyone else followed behind her since they figured that she was going down to see the tape. When they got downstairs, since everyone was a bit behind, they saw her holding her shotgun.
