"You dumbass! What the hell were you thinking?! Pulling a stunt like that for some girl!?" Zenitsu yelled at Genya after he heard and saw what happened, the others look disappointed as well. But he knew he shouldn't be talking cause he would do the same thing, but it would be him that would be on the ground getting hurt. "It's nice cause some girl, beside I don't even like Kanao, she's kind and all but like I hardly know her. She's annoying as well. Besides don't like you ain't girl crazy. Plus Alex been bothering me for a while, he had it coming."
"Sure, like we didn't hear the rumors about you waking her home or something, you sure you ain't hiding something..?"
"Why would I hide anything? And if I was why the hell would I tell you? I hate you remember?"
"Would you tell me?" Tanjiro asked with a smile but Genya ignored him instead. Muichiro sighed and tossed a football at him, glaring almost, "You know the more you do this, your gonna get kicked off, we can do just fine without you, but still, an extra hand for extra games can be useful? Don't act like this doesn't matter. We played since we were around middle school I think? Least I heard you played around that time. I cant remember if we were in the same school..."
"Your hopeless..."
"Hey I won't for us, something you couldn't even do this month,"

"Hey you two stop fighting! How bout we just talk about something else, like what are plans for the week-"
"Save it Tanjiro's I'ma head out, it's a long day. Besides I have something to do "
"Wait you're not gonna head to practice!? You know the coach wants us to have lunch here and then we practice and stuff-"
"Nah, I have something to do..." I didn't even bother hearing anyone else because he closed the door behind him. He only did so cause he didn't want the girl's following Kanao again, and promised to walk her home whenever he could. Even so, as he was walking to the cafeteria, that was until I'll he heard some of the girl's talking about Kanao. "Aren't those Kanao's teammates?" Genya whispered to himself as he rhen heard her name again, "I can't believe Mr. Sabito said no to kicking Kanao off she obviously deserved it."
"Exactly, she almost got Genya kicked off the team! And she's not even that good! Why join cheer if you can't cheer! It's like she begging for attention! And yet he tells us we should just leave it?! That's not fair! She obviously did something to become his favorite!"
"Yeesh, some people just favorite others out, not fair" Genya sighed and walked off as he made it to the cafeteria. Kanao sat quietly in the corner of the bustling cafeteria, her heart pounding beneath her pale pink sweater. She had faded into the background while the world around her turned vibrant and chaotic. Even her friends are able to turn up the volume, but her. Most of her peers were bustling about, laughing, and gossiping. Just as her friend were about to head into another topic in their conversation, Genya came into view.
"Uh what is he doing here?"
"Eating? What do you expect?"
"Kanao! You heard coach said those who need extra practice or want it should stay in the gym, doesn't he need it?"
