Chapter 227 - Prime suspect

Taehyung would have preferred the names Phenom 900E or Embraer 1000E and those are the first things that got into his mind. But why did I name it Raven? Nevertheless, he doesn't want to say 'I don't know' today. Last time they fought for a week on this matter. Worried that forgetting things is a sign of aging, Jennie has been making him eat brain power foods since then. So, he blabbed whatever his brain has grabbed for the moment. "Raven, because it's cute."

"Don't lie. I can see through your eyes, Taehyung." Jennie knows he is fibbing to stave off the fight, unlike last time. She was not annoyed at him but Taehyung unable to remember things was worrying her. Jennie asked Evelyn and Fredrick to confirm if he had an accident in the past and there is nothing as such.

"I am sorry. I don't want you to get mad at me."

"I am not mad at you, babylicious." She hooked her arms around his neck and pulled him towards her. "Don't you think you have forgotten some important things in your life?"

"Sometimes I do feel it and at the same time, it doesn't not making any sense. When I try to recall, it leads to a dead-end." The last time, he tried to think of a mighty Zeus piece of memory, it gave him a severe headache

"Don't try. It's not good for your health. You need to sleep on time from now. Too little restful sleep contributes to problems with memory."

"As my sweetheart says." He smiled for no reason.

"So what did you talk with that old goat for five minutes?"

"It's a secret." He whispered and picked Jennie from the bed when they landed. It was still in the evening and Taehyung was planning to spend the night with Jennie but he has to put an end to it when he received a text from Nick asking for his urgent presence. Unless something crucial, he wouldn't text him. "Jennie, I got some pressing matter to deal with. I will drop you at your brother's house and pick you at night? Is that fine?"

"That should be fine."

Taehyung took a detour and straightaway drove to Jin's house.

"Why don't you come inside?" She stepped down from the car upon reaching the villa.

"Your brother will start marriage classes just like my dad. I can't bear them."

"Let me watch then, how long you are going to escape." Jennie gave a quick peck on his lips before going inside. Taehyung waited until the door was closed before he started off the engine.

"Go to sleep, Sara and Clara." One of the men, Colton said. "Don't you have classes tomorrow?"

"We are waiting for our Taetae." Sara turned to her twin sister, Clara. "I am bored Kadabra. Let's go and peel off that Krystal's face today."

"Let's not, Abra. That stupid woman is very s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e and if we torture her, she will collapse again. Taetae might want to speak with her."

"Such a weak girl. My mood gets dampened seeing her body," Sara sighed. It was the first time, a woman was brought to torture. Both the twin sisters beamed in delight and planned to tinker her before torturing but seeing the blood and the gruesome place, Krystal collapsed on the first day alone.

"I am eagerly waiting...OMG! Taetae...." Sara dashed to the man when her sharp eyes spotted Taehyung stepping inside.

Taehyung ruffled Sara's hair and instantly Clara bent her head asking to do the same. "How are you both?"

"Not good. The woman you brought for torture is very s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e." Sara complained.

"Next time, I will try for a strong one. Bring Krystal to the private room and also call Nick."

"Okay."

"I will get straight to the point. Who else was involved in Jennie's accident along with you?" Taehyung picked a knife and twirled it before grabbing Krystal's hand. There is no way this weak woman would have planned everything on her own.

"Please don't.." Her cries turned weak, scared that he would cut her fingers. How did he know someone is involved with me?

"I want answers."

"W_ill you release me if I tell?" Krystal whimpered stuttering with her words.

"That depends on your answer and my mood."

"I don't know her name. Our c_ommunication happened only through texts."

Her? A woman? If she did not made communication through call, how did krystal know it's a woman?

"Are you still in contact with her?"

"No. After Jennie's accident, she blocked my number. She morphed her pictures and delivered them to Kai. It was her idea to divert Jennie to the cliff. I am innocent. Please release me_"

"Take her away, Sara," Taehyung didn't intend to listen to her stories.

"Nick," Taehyung ordered. "Ger that number as soon as possible."

"Alright, Taehyung." Nick nodded and handed a file to Taehyung.

"This is the list of places and people Jennie madam has visited from the time she started her modeling career. In most of the fashion shows she did, there is a man who frequently visited her shows."

"Who is it?" Taehyung asked, flipping the papers and rounding off the person's names when he found a suspicious profile.

"Walter Adams."

Taehyung's brows creased hearing the name.

"Dr. Walter Adams was the chief doctor assigned for Jennie madam's case when she was involved in an accident. Technically, he was with her for almost two years in the hospital and she must be knowing him quite well. That makes him our prime suspect. Should we abduct him_"

"No. Wait for my orders" Taehyung refuted. "If he is not the suspect, we are paving the way for the stalker to get alert. Ask our men to keep a watch on him. I will make a personal visit to him." Dr. Walter! A doctor stalker or it's again a misleading path. Who are you, bastard? Show up, fast.

"I have already arranged them."

"Thanks, Nick," Taehyung added. "You will be serving as Jennie's bodyguard from tomorrow. I will text you the address of my house. Be on time."

"Umm... Taehyung...Can you take someone else from the team?" Nick asked scratching his forehead.

"Why?"

"I_I have lots of work here." Nick heard about Jennie from the media and also from Jungkook and Jin. If he stays beside her all the time, he stopped imagining.

"Tomorrow sharp at six." Taehyung did not leave room for discussions.
