Not even half an hour since the flight has gone airborne, the sloth has already dozed off on Taehyung's arms after fulfilling her stomach. A while later, Taehyung felt his shirt dampened, and it was not a surprise that Jennie was drooling, considering his experience with her. "She is not letting her mouth rest even while napping.'' Taehyung put on leftover diced carrots into the corner of her mouth and snapped a picture to annoy her later.
Within an hour, the flight landed at the destination, and he has to wake her up by force.
"I am still sleepy." Stretching her arms, she yawned, waking up from her slumber.
"That is the only thing you do correctly." He grabbed a tissue from the box and wiped her drool.
"Why did we reach so early? You could have told the pilot to go a little slow." Blaming him as if it's his fault, Jennie rose from the seat.
"You are the reason this country has put directions on the shampoo." Covering her face with a mask to not let anyone see after they are out, Taehyung pulled her out.
"Mr. Kim Taehyung. My IQ is exceptionally high, unlike you." Jennie snapped, smacking his arm.
"Of course, sweetheart. It's a talk of the country, you know." He retorted with scorn.
Ignoring his mock, Jennie headed with him, thinking of ways to make Taehyung's statement into reality. I should work on it.
While moving out of the airport, a particular memory spiked into Jennie's brain as she passed by the lounge area. Guilt tripped over when she thought about her betrayal. "Did you get angry at me for tricking you on that day?"
"Now you feel guilty?" Taehyung asked. He almost got a panic attack on that day, but this crazy idiot has run away the moment he is out of her sight.
''You were still a stranger at that time. What if you have sold me off?"
''Trust me, darling. Even if I sell you off, they will bring you back." Taehyung said, opening the car door for her. "To the Meadows Inn," Taehyung said to the driver. The driver nodded and started the car.
While passing in the car, Jennie rolled the window down and stuck her hand out of the window to feel Maine's beauty. The stunning night sky, the swath of greens, felt like family that she wanted to put on the wall. Taehyung's lips curved upwards into a smile, watching her happiness.
''Taehyung," Jennie called him out of the blue.
''Hmm?"
She rested her head on his shoulders and said softly. ''Let's go for a long drive before we go back.''
''Sure, sweetheart."
There was a silence for a minute before Jennie spoke up. ''When did you know that you like me?" This question has been lingering on her mind for a while.
"When was it?" He felt a strong surge of familiarity when he saw her at the park. Even though it was his first time seeing her, every single nerve in his body called out to her loudly on that day, and at that moment, he realized she is the one. His heart knew that the search is over. ''Love at first sight." That was his reply.
Jennie: '' ''
Can he stop giving me a heart attack? Am I his love at first sight? Jennie was dancing inside in joy.
''That explains why I got a mail from your company on the day you saw me at the park. You shamelessly did an extensive FBI search and came up with a business idea as an excuse?"
''No, sweetheart. I did not know your name at that time. After you entered the washroom like a pervert and saw my AK47, I decided to take responsibility for us." When their talking was getting a little intimate, Taehyung closed the partition of the front door.
