Jennie's happiness knew no bounds when she got consent from Francis. She shopped for new clothes, although she has a room full of them. The night before she has to leave for Seattle, Francis, Jin, and Margaret helped her pack the essentials. By the time, they were done with the packing, the three got utterly exhausted but Jennie was still in high spirits.
"Are you going for studies or to show off your wealth?" Jin barked looking around the room which was completely filled with bags.
"Francy!" Jennie complained in a peevish tone.
"You dare to raise your voice on my baby darling?" Francis pompously chided. "Write an apology letter for the thousand times."
"Again?" Jin screamed.
"Donkey boy!" Margaret slammed Jin's t.h.i.g.h. "You still tease her knowing the outcome?"
"Oww..., grandma..." Jin cried. "You are hurting the most handsome living being."
"Handsome? No man can beat my Francy in handsomeness." Jennie giggled. As far as she has seen, Francis is the most handsome man in her eyes after her.
"There is one who outweighs your Francy, Jennie," Margaret smiled. "He is_"
Francis and cleared his throat cutting his mom's words. "It's time to sleep, mom."
"Jealous son," Margaret muttered and left the room.
"Even if the person surpasses Francy, can he beat the great Lee Jennie?" Jennie whispered with scorn.
"Go to bed early. Don't watch Korean dramas all night." Francis said before leaving the room...
"Go to bed early..." Jennie mimicked Francis's tone and closed the door. Climbing onto her bed, Jennie took a deep breath and stared at the ceiling thinking of her future. As if high on dopamine, she forgot to sleep in her excitement. She wants to become an excellent coder, hacker, and along with it, she wants a little entertainment in the university. She only wished to complete her studies happily and then start her own company. But destiny has its turn.
....
The next morning, Jennie got up from her sleep with Francis's continuous nagging. She got fresh and went to the hospital to talk with her mom before leaving for Seattle.
By the time, she stepped into the private jet, it was eleven in the morning. Getting bored on the plane, Jennie poked Jin to pass her time.
"What?" He asked.
"I heard you broke up with your new girlfriend on the first day itself," Jennie asked in a whisper.
"She is the loudest eater I ever met. She constantly chewed with her mouth open and smacked her lips all the time while eating. I felt like I was dating a cookie monster. So, I broke up on the spot." Jin replied. All the girls he dated in the past had horrendous hobbies and they haven't lasted for more than three days. At this rate, Jin wondered if he was cursed to stay single.
"You will never get a chance to date in this life." Jennie put on her headphones.
"The same applies to you," Jin muttered under his breath.
...
Once they landed in Seattle, Francis straight away drove to a house he brought for Jennie.
"This house is so beautiful, Francy. I will be living here alone?" Jennie asked in excitement. She could see the whole city from the floor to ceiling windows and she loved the view.
"Two more will accompany you." He smiled with fondness happy that she liked the gift. He wanted to gift a Villa but then again he felt flat would be more secure since Jennie would not be under his care. He doesn't want guards to follow around her all the time which would wreck her privacy.
"And who are they?" She asked.
"You will meet them tomorrow." He said.
"Fine. I will control my curiosity until then."
The whole day, Jennie did nothing except sleeping on her new bed. Francis and Jin came back at night. God knows where they were wandering and Jennie did not bother to ask them.
....
The next morning, instead of nervousness like all the teenagers feel on their first day of joining the university, Jennie was stuck to the mirror.
"How long will you look into that mirror?" Jin screamed.
"Even mirror doesn't want to part with me." She tilted her head and smiled at her reflection.
"Lucky for you, mirrors can't laugh at you either." He said and pulled her out of the room.
...
Jennie was dressed in a simple knee-length dress on the first day, yet she was breathtakingly beautiful. Women were looking at her enviously while men couldn't break eyes from the bewitching beauty. But no one dared to approach her when there was a powerful figure standing beside her.
Just then, Jennie's thoughts broke when she heard a voice.
"Francis! How are you, man?"
"As usual busy, Louis," Francis replied.
Louis looked at his nervous daughter. "Don't get nervous, Rosé. No one is going to eat you away."
"I am not nervous dad." With a pout, Rosé curiously looked at the girl standing next to Francis.
"I_I am Rosé and what's your name."
With a broad smile, Jennie replied. "Can you ask an easy question?"
Rosé: " "
"Hahahaa...I like her Francis." Louis remarked.
"Where is Veronica?" Francis shifted the topic.
"She must be_"
"Are you talking about me" Just then a woman approached along with a girl? "Irene has taken a lot of time to get ready. So, I am a little late."
"She is my daughter, Irene." Veronica introduced Irene to Jennie and Rosé. The three did not talk much on the first day, but they did not find awkwardness while conversing.
...
Once Jennie got settled in the home, Francis and Jin was ready to leave. At first, Jennie was happy when she started at home, but now she was missing Francis already. Her tank is about to burst open at any minute.
"Now now. Don't cry. I will visit you every week." Francis said c.a.r.e.s.sing her hair. He was trying hard to maintain a smile. Only he knows how much he is suffering inside to leave Jennie alone.
"One phone call, I will appear in front of you alright, Crazy Jennie?" Jin gently wiped her tears.
"Hmmm..."Jennie's voice stuck in her throat.
