Ranawat Mansion

The Ranawat mansion was buzzing with its usual energy, everyone engrossed in their own worlds.

Anaya, the youngest, was sitting on the couch in the living room, scrolling through her phone with a casual interest. Dadi and Dadaji were seated on the other side of the room, enjoying the peace of the afternoon. Despite the hustle, there was an underlying tension that everyone seemed to be trying to ignore.

Just then, the door burst open, and in walked Reyansh, with his usual chaotic energy. His entry was like a gust of fresh air, immediately lifting the mood of the room.

"Guess who's here to save you all from boredom!" Reyansh announced with a wide grin, his voice filled with mischief.

Dadi, who had been knitting quietly, looked up with a warm smile. "Ah, Reyansh beta, always the one to bring light into the room."

Reyansh noticed the slight tension in the air, a certain unease among his family members. He had a knack for sensing these things, and he decided to ease it with his usual humorous banter.

"So, what's everyone up to? Anaya trying to set a new record for scrolling through her phone he teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Anaya shot him a look, but there was a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

Dadi decided to join in, sensing the mood lightening. "You know, beta, I was just telling them about childhood. Especially how naughty Aditya was,how he throw a tantrum whenever it was time to take  medicine? I still don’t know how he ended up choosing medicine as a career!"

Everyone laughed heartily at this, the tension in the room melting away.

"And then there's Anaya," Dadi said, her tone fond. "This girl... if she even had a slight fever, it was like the whole house had to revolve around her. She’d throw the biggest tantrums!"

Anaya rolled her eyes dramatically. "Dadi, you’re exaggerating!"

Reyansh laughed, nudging Anaya. "Come on, admit it, Anaya. You loved being the center of attention!"

Before Anaya could retort, Dadi interjected with a chuckle, "But the biggest troublemakers were you and Reyansh. I remember when Abhinav would bring Reyansh here, the first thing he’d do was search for Anaya. And then it would begin—the fights! It was like you two couldn’t live with each other, but couldn’t live without each other either. The way you’d bicker and then go back to playing like nothing happened... Those were the days."

Reyansh grinned, leaning back in his chair, clearly enjoying the trip down memory lane. "Ah, Dadi, those were some legendary fights! Anaya would always start it, though. I was just defending myself."

Anaya shot him a playful glare. "You were the one who couldn’t go a day without annoying me!"

Reyansh leaned in closer to Anaya, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "But you loved it, didn’t you?" he teased.

Anaya rolled her eyes again, pretending to ignore him.

Reyansh decided to end the moment with one of his signature shayaris, something he often did to lighten the mood:
