RANAWAT MANSION
After breakfast, Dadaji and Dadi sat comfortably in the living room, their usual spot for morning discussions. The sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a warm glow on the antique furniture. Sanjay, their eldest son, was also present, engaged in a deep conversation about property matters.
Dadaji, a wise and observant man, suddenly remembered he needed to discuss an important matter with Yuvraj about Abhinav's son. He called out, "Aarti!"
Aarti, who was busy in the kitchen cleaning up after breakfast, came quickly, drying her hands"Yes, Papa?" she responded respectfully.
"Did Yuvraj go to the office already?" Dadaji inquired.
"No, Papa," Aarti replied. "He didn't even come down for breakfast. I think he's in his office room, working."
"Oh, alright," Dadaji nodded thoughtfully. He spotted Aditya and Anaya chatting in the hallway. "Aditya, Anaya, come here."
They approached hesitantly. "Yes, Dadaji?" Aditya asked, trying to hide his nervousness.
"Inform Yuvraj that I need to speak with him," Dadaji instructed.
Aditya and Anaya exchanged fearful glances. Anaya whispered urgently, "Listen, Adi bhai last time I saw Bhai in a very angry mood. I'm not going in front of him to face his devilish temper. You should go."
Aditya shook his head vigorously. "No, I'm not going. I'm older than you, so you better listen to me and go call Bhai. Don't argue with me, or it won't end well."
Anaya gave him a dangerous look, her eyes narrowing. "Oh, baby boy, are you scared of Bhai?" she mocked, laughing softly. "Fine, if you're so brave, go ahead."
Aditya sighed in frustration. "Alright, let's settle this with rock-paper-scissors. The loser goes and calls him."
Anaya smirked, "Deal." They started the game, their hands moving in synchronized rhythm. After six rounds, they were still tied.
Dadaji's voice interrupted them, "Are you both still here? Go and call him!"
They gulped, realizing they had no choice. "Okay, let's go together," Aditya suggested.
They walked to Yuvraj's room, their steps slow and hesitant. Aditya knocked softly, Bhai, Dadaji is calling you. There was no response. They exchanged puzzled looks and decided to enter the room. It was empty.
He must be in his office room, Anaya whispered.
They headed to Yuvraj's office, knocking again, but there was still no reply. Gathering their courage, they entered, only to find it empty as well.
Where could he be?Aditya wondered aloud. They returned to the living room, feeling a mix of relief and trepidation.
"Dadaji, Yuvraj Bhai is not in his room or office," Aditya reported.
Dadaji frowned slightly but then relaxed. "It's okay. He might have gone to the office early. I'll talk to him when he returns."
Aditya and Anaya, now free from the daunting task, quickly left for their respective colleges, eager to escape the tension. As they walked out, Anaya couldn't resist teasing Aditya one last time, "See? Even rock-paper-scissors couldn't decide who was braver!"
Aditya rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile. "Let's just hope Bhai's mood improves by the time we get back."
Their laughter echoed in the hallway, a stark contrast to the earlier tension, as they headed out.
