{Aria's Point of View}
After an incredible weekend, waking up this morning for school is rough. I slowly opened my eyes as the alarm on my phone continued to play. My blinds were closed but a stream of sunlight still managed to sneak through them and onto my face.
I pushed myself out of bed and walked over to my dresser. I picked out a pair of my favorite sweatpants and a fitted t-shirt to wear for the day. After a long, hot shower, I threw my lazy day outfit on and sat down in front of my mirror.
I brushed through the many snarls in my thick, curly hair and then ran my curling gel through it. My favorite part about my hair was how easy it was to just throw in some gel and let it do it's own thing. I quickly applied mascara and lip gloss before heading to the kitchen for a bite to eat.
I heard laughter coming from the kitchen as I made my way through the house. Upon entering the kitchen, my eyes immediately landed on the box of donuts on the counter. I sprinted to the box and grabbed a chocolate one with sprinkles. It was so fresh and delicious, it was like an orgasm in my mouth. Possibly the greatest donut I had ever had.
"Mmmm," I hummed as I took another bite.
"Well you're welcome!" Carter laughed. "I am so glad you like them."
I looked up, feeling embarrassed that I hadn't acknowledged his presence before attacking the box of donuts. He should know now that they are my weakness though - being my boyfriend and what not.
Yep, as of Saturday night, Carter and I are officially dating. Honestly I wasn't expecting it. We've been really good friends for 3 months now, but I never thought he saw me as more than a friend. Well, I guess there was that kiss on my birthday and at the party. Okay, so maybe I hoped something more going on between us, but I wasn't getting my hopes up.
"Thanks!" I said before giving him a kiss with my mouth full of donut. I know what you're thinking. I could have at least swallowed my food before planting one on him, but priorities - okay?
"My mom made them fresh this morning. Just for you." Carter smiled, wiping his face of the frosting I may or may not have left on his lips.
"Oh that was awfully nice of her!" My mom chimed in. "Does she bake a lot?"
"She's just excited that I found a nice girl. Also, she loves Aria." Carter replied, flashing me a smile.
I blushed and covered my mouth as I chomped away at another donut.
"Well I'm just glad that Aria has found someone that treats her well," my mom said.
"Anyway perhaps we should get going to school?" I hinted at Carter.
He nodded in agreement, and hopped off the stool. He threw his arm around my shoulders and waved goodbye to my mother. We grabbed our bags and threw on our shoes and were heading out of the door.
