I get out of bed, get dressed and eat in less than forty-five minutes. I decide to walk to daycare since it's only five blocks away. I'm not sure how to handle kids, so I hope I learn fast. When I arrive, Mary shows me where the toys are and the nap room.

When the first child arrives, Mary shows me how to sign them in. Then, when most of children are here Mary says, "Everyone, this is Arabell."

"Hi, Arabell." They all said.

I went to play with one of the babies. We built block towers and played with stuffed animals. After about an hour, Mary told the kids that it was story time. She asked if I wanted to read but I told her that she could. After all, I still didn't understand much about Boston, so if the children asked questions it would be pretty hard to answer.

Mary read them a story called 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar.' It was about a caterpillar who ate a lot a fruit but was always hungry. Then, he ate a leaf and felt better. After that, he turned into a butterfly.

After story time was over Mary and I prepared lunch. We made cheese quesadillas. It was really flat bread called a tortilla with melted cheese on the inside. We also had grapes and orange juice. I helped the kids wash their hands and sit down. I also ate lunch and loved it. I tried not to act like I've never ate a quesadilla before, but it was delicious. The cheese was hot and gooey and the tortilla was crispy. The grapes were juicy and the orange juice was sweet.

I helped Mary clean up lunch. After lunch, we watched a movie. Most of the kids fell asleep, so I guess it was also nap time. I shut off the movie once it was done and let the kids sleep.

When the kids woke up we had a snack. Then, most of them went home. "You did really well for your first day." Mary said.

"Thanks. It was really fun."

"I'll see you tomorrow." Mary told me. "And again, thank you."

When I got Cassidy said we were going out for supper with one  of her friends. "He's really nice, I've been friends with him since second grade. His name is Colton." She exclaimed.

Wait. He. I've never met a man before. I hope this goes well. I went and got cleaned up for dinner tonight. I sure would like to know if Cassidy's friend is going to be nice like she said. I guess we'll just wait and find out.
