Lena Luthor and Brainy (Querl Dox) had been spending an increasing amount of time together in the lab. With the latest mission requiring intense research and technological expertise, their combined skills were essential. Lena's unparalleled brilliance in biochemistry and Brainy's unmatched computational intellect made them an unstoppable team.

For days, they worked side by side, often late into the night, their heads bent over complex equations, blueprints, and data analysis. They communicated in half-sentences, each of them understanding the other perfectly, slipping into a rhythm that felt natural and easy.

Lena's emerald eyes would light up with excitement whenever they made a breakthrough, and Brainy's usual stoicism would break into a small but genuine smile. They were a well-oiled machine, but the long hours and close proximity didn't go unnoticed by everyone.

Nia Nal, who had been dating Brainy for several months, started to notice the growing bond between him and Lena. At first, she dismissed the feelings as irrational. Brainy loved her, and she knew that. But as days turned into weeks, the pangs of jealousy grew stronger.

Nia had always admired Lena. She was strong, smart, and beautiful. But seeing her boyfriend spending so much time with Lena, especially when it seemed like Brainy and Lena were so in sync, made Nia feel insecure. It wasn't that she doubted Brainy's feelings for her, but she couldn't help the uneasy feeling in her chest.

One evening, after another long day in the lab, Brainy came home to find Nia sitting on the couch, her arms crossed, looking down at her hands. Her normally bright and cheery demeanor was clouded with a frown.

"Nia?" Brainy asked softly as he approached her, concern etched on his face. He reached out to touch her hand, but she pulled away.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice filled with worry.

Nia sighed, trying to find the right words. "Brainy... I know you've been spending a lot of time with Lena. I get that it's for the mission, but..." She trailed off, struggling to articulate her feelings.

Brainy sat down beside her, his heart sinking as he realized what was troubling her. He gently cupped her face in his hands, forcing her to look at him.

"Nia, there's nothing between Lena and me. You're the one I love," he said firmly, his voice full of sincerity.

Nia's eyes glistened with unshed tears. "I know that, Brainy. But it's hard not to feel... a little jealous. You two just seem so... connected."

Brainy's heart ached at the sight of her vulnerability. He hated seeing her like this, knowing that he had inadvertently caused her pain.

"Nia, you are the most important person in my life," Brainy said, his tone gentle but resolute. "What Lena and I have is purely professional. We're working together because it's necessary for the mission, but that's all it is. My heart belongs to you."

Nia looked into his eyes, searching for any sign of doubt, but all she saw was love and devotion. She took a deep breath, letting his words wash over her.

"I'm sorry for feeling this way," Nia whispered, leaning into his touch. "I trust you, Brainy. I do."

Brainy leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. "You don't need to apologize. I understand why you feel the way you do, but I want you to know that I'm here for you, always."

Nia closed her eyes, savoring the warmth of his lips against her skin. The tension that had been building inside her slowly began to dissipate.

After a moment of quiet, Brainy spoke again, his voice filled with tenderness. "How about we spend some time together tonight? Just the two of us. We can watch your favorite movie—Star Wars, right?"
