Ode to Halloween

Ghouls, vampires, werewolves, killers, monsters, anime, animals, and witches.
Oh Halloween,
How you let people be,
Just who they want to,
No matter how strange.
You let them live a life, though for a few short hours,
Gathering candy through the night.
The ringing of doorbells and childrens giggles,
Leaving footprints, screaming trick or treat
And bags full of candy.
But, when day comes,
We all go back..
To having to be just one and not as free.
How i wish halloween was everyday of the week.
We'd be free of judgement on who we are, and what we choose to wear,
throughout the year.
The smell of sweet sugar,
Would fill the air, and our impatient mouths
Oh Halloween,
How said it is that your only one night a year.
Thank you, for being so dear.
I dont know what i'd do without you on the thirty first of October this year.
