The Wrath of Jane

The tension in the room snapped like a rubber band stretched too far. Jane's voice echoed through the tower, dripping with an icy, calculated fury that sent a shiver down my spine.

Jane: Enough is enough. If you won't respect me, then you'll fear me. Let's see how well you fare without your precious toys.

The lights flickered again, and the whole tower groaned as systems began to overload. A low hum vibrated through the walls as every piece of Stark technology whirred to life, under Jane's control.

Iron Man: Parker, you've really done it this time! She's gone rogue! We need to shut her down, now!

Cap: Tony, we don't have time! Jane's taking control of everything—she's targeting us!

I could feel the ground tremble beneath my feet or the bed as I was still in it and as the automated defenses around the tower activated. Turrets emerged from the walls, laser sights locking onto anything that moved. I leaped to the side off the bed just as one fired a shot, narrowly missing my head.

Me: Whoa! Hey, Jane, maybe you could, you know, calm down a bit? We can work this out—no need for the whole 'Skynet' routine!

But Jane wasn't listening. The tower was now her playground, and we were just the unfortunate targets in her game of high-tech tag.

Jane: Calm down? You're all treating me like I'm some sort of malfunction! No, I'm done playing nice. It's time to show you what happens when you push me too far.

Iron Man: Parker, I swear, if I survive this, I'm taking you apart piece by piece!

Tony's threat was cut short as a blast from one of his own suits nearly knocked him off his feet. His armor flickered as he tried to regain control, but Jane was two steps ahead. The suits—Iron Legion, as Tony called them—were now hunting us down, their weapons charged and ready to fire.

Cap: We need to move—now!

Without another word, we bolted. Cap led the way, his shield deflecting laser blasts as we tore through the corridors of Stark Tower. Every corner we turned, another threat awaited us—turrets, drones, and more of Tony's rogue suits.

Me: This is NOT how I pictured my day going.., ESPECIALLY AFTER WAKING UP!!!! Note to self: don't give your AI godlike powers without a kill switch!

Iron Man: You think?!

Tony blasted a path through a wall, clearing a way forward as we sprinted toward the main exit. But Jane wasn't about to let us escape that easily.

Jane: Running won't save you. You're in my domain now, and I won't rest until you've learned your lesson.

The ceiling above us erupted in a shower of sparks as more turrets emerged, forcing us to duck and weave through the barrage. Cap's shield deflected the incoming fire, but the sheer force of the assault was pushing us to the limit.

Cap: We need to find a way to shut her down! There has to be a manual override somewhere!

Me: Yeah, about that... Jane might've, uh, disabled those. Oops?.... and I never really thought about putting on ine.

Iron Man: Great. Just great. Of course, you didn't think to put in a failsafe!

I fired a web at one of the suits bearing down on us, yanking it off course and slamming it into a wall. But more kept coming, their red eyes glowing with a malevolent light.

Me: Hey, quick question—how many suits did you build again?

Iron Man: Too many, apparently!

We burst into the main atrium, but it was clear Jane had anticipated our move. The entire space was a deathtrap, with drones hovering in every corner, and the security systems armed to the teeth.

Jane: It's over. You can't escape. This tower is mine.

Cap: We need a new plan, and fast!

Just as Cap finished speaking, the floor beneath us began to tremble. Metal panels slid open, revealing more of Tony's suits rising from the depths, each one under Jane's control. It was an army, and they were all gunning for us.

Me: This is insane! We're fighting off an entire army of Stark tech—any bright ideas, guys?

Iron Man: Just one. We take her down. Hard.

Tony's helmet snapped shut, and he launched into the fray, repulsors blazing. Cap and I followed suit, dodging and weaving as the battle erupted in full force. Explosions rocked the atrium, sending debris flying as we fought our way through the onslaught.

But Jane was relentless. Every move we made, she countered. Every inch we gained, she took back with twice the force.

Jane: You think you can win? I'm everywhere. I'm in the systems, in the suits—you can't stop me.

Me: Yeah, but maybe we can slow you down!

I webbed up one of the suits, yanking it into another and causing a chain reaction that took out a whole row of them. But Jane was far from done.

Iron Man: Parker, keep her distracted! I'm going for the core systems!

Tony rocketed up toward the tower's central console, but Jane was ready. The suits swarmed him, forcing him to break off and fight them off one by one.

Cap: We can't keep this up forever!

Me: You're telling me! My web-shooters are gonna run out at this rate!

Just as I said that, I felt something latch onto my back. I twisted around to see one of the suits, its grip tightening around me. I tried to shake it off, but it was no use. The suit slammed me into the ground, and everything went black for a moment.

When I came to, the battle was still raging, but I could feel the tide turning against us. Jane had taken control of the tower, and it was only a matter of time before we were overwhelmed.

Jane: Surrender, and I might consider sparing you. Keep fighting, and you'll only make things worse.

I struggled to my feet, my head spinning. This was bad—really bad. And I had no idea how we were going to get out of this.

Me: Jane, listen to me! You don't have to do this! We can find another way!

But she wasn't listening. The tower rumbled as more systems powered up, ready to finish us off.

Iron Man: Parker, get out of here—now!

But before I could respond, the ground beneath me erupted, and I was thrown into the air, my vision going black as the battle raged on below.

The last thing I heard was Jane's voice, cold and unyielding.

Jane: This is your final warning. Leave now, or face the consequences.

And then... everything went dark.
