You keep tossing and turning in bed, replaying Sukuna's words and his touch in your head.
But deep down, you know that between these two forces of nature, favouring the King of Curses would be your safest bet, despite his unpredictability.

The best course of action would be to listen to his advice, you finally decide as you dose off into a restless slumber.

The next morning, at the crack of dawn, you've been summoned by Kage again.

As you enter the Queen's throne room, the air feels heavy with the weight of dark magic and ancient power.

The Queen sits upon her throne, her red hair a fiery halo in the flickering torchlight, her emerald eyes gleaming with intelligence.

'So, you deign to graces us with your presence, princess,' she purrs, her voice like silk wrapped around poison.
'I trust your little tryst with the curse king did not distract you from your duties? After all, there are those who would see you brought low...' (girl is delusional)

'I'll not be swayed by your petty games, Your Majesty,' you reply, your voice steady.
'My allegiance is to my people, not to your whims. But know this - should you threaten those I care for, I will not hesitate to take action.'

The Queen's lips curl into a sneer, but you sense a flicker of concern beneath the surface, a realization that you will not be easily manipulated.

'So why is it that you summoned me again, is it a new proposal?' you continue.

The Queen leans forward, her emerald eyes glinting with calculated interest.

'Proposal? Oh no, darling. I don't propose, I dictate. And at the moment, I'm dictating that you attend a gathering in the castle gardens this evening. A small, informal affair, just a few...key players.'

She pauses, letting the implications sink in.

'Of course, if you do decide to honour me with your presence, I promise to keep Sukuna's name out of our little discussion. But I warn you, princess... cross me, and he will suffer for it.'

The Queen sits back, her expression a cold, calculating mask.

'So, what's it to be? Will you play along, or do I need to make an example of you both?'

Her words hang in the air, heavy with menace, as she awaits your response, her gaze never leaving yours.

Somewhere in the distance of your foggy mind, you can hear your voice ringing in the air:
'I'll be there.'

Satisfaction flickers across the Queen's face, her emerald eyes gleaming with triumph.

'Excellent. I expected as much. You're a clever one, I'll give you that. But cleverness alone will not save you in the long run.'

She stands, her red robes swirling around her like a inferno as she descends from the dais.

'Until this evening, then. Don't be late.'

With that, she turns on her heel and exits the throne room, leaving you alone with the echoes of her words and the heavy weight of her warning.

As you stand there, trying to make sense of the Queen's maneuverings, you can't help but feel a twinge of worry for Sukuna. What does the Queen have planned?

You know you must tread carefully, balancing your loyalties and playing the game with the cunning of a viper.
But with Sukuna's dark energy pulsing within you, you also know that you won't back down. Come hell or high water, you'll face whatever the Queen throws your way.

Sukuna awaits you in your chamber as you return, his gaze immediately shooting up to you, looking deeply unamused.

You start before he gets the chance to scold you for your absence.
'I won't be able to participate in, well - whatever you have planned for me, I have a party to attend.'

Sukuna's expression darkens as you deliver the news, his brows furrowed in a scowl.

'A party? With the Queen, no less,' he says, immediately understanding what you're referring to.

He pulls you close, his arms wrapping around you in a possessive embrace.

'But I understand. Loyalty to your people, to our kingdom, comes first.'

After a while, Sukuna steps back, his crimson eyes searching yours, a hint of a growl in his voice. 'I'll be waiting for you, brat. In the shadows, always watching.'

With that, he releases you, disappearing into the castle's inky depths, leaving you to prepare for the Queen's game, his dark energy lingering for a heartbeat longer.
