Chapter 5: A Surprise Visit

Hugo's POV 

"Your Royal Highness, you have a letter come in," the castle steward hands me the letter. I know this crest is from Enchancia! Sofia said she was looking forward to joining Corinthian Sports School in just a few weeks and we could do this together.

Although I'm still in my tryout period to get the subjects beforehand, I know this is the right school for me! I keep the letter in a box. I should go to Enchancia to see what Sofia is doing.

Axel came in and saw the letter on my table. "Baby bro, you got yourself a winner there!" he says. "Cut it out, big bro! I promised Sofia's parents that I would look out for her at school," I playfully punch Axel. "How are you getting on with Ever Realm Academy?" I ask.

"The final exams are coming out and it's hello graduation. If I passed every subject in school," chuckles Axel. Axel will soon be king one day. His going to Ever Realm Academy is no surprise to me. "Prince Hugo, the coach to Enchancia is waiting for you!" I grab my bag and head to the coach. "Baby bro, do tell Sofia I say hi! You forgot this again!" he hands me a box I left on my table. Right, my gift for the Princess. "Will do, big bro! Bye, I must fly!"

Enchancia

Sofia's POV 

I'm at my window seat reading my books with Clover, Robin, and Mia. Clover and I always have some cuddle time, like right now. He is sitting beside me while I stroke him and read my book.

I feel someone is tucking my hair so I can read better. "Hey, Princess!" when I lift my head it's Hugo! "Hugo, what are you doing here?" I quickly sit up. "I decided to surprise The Princess of Enchancia. Especially the youngest!" he strokes my hair. Hugo is also the youngest. He takes out a box, "open it!" he says. "Wow, another charm to add to my bracelet!" I look at the lilac stone. "Let me help to put up," Hugo secures the latest addition to the bracelet. I shift over so Hugo can sit beside me. "This your favorite spot in your room, eh?" he asks and I nod. My eyes still stick to the book, I want to sit up but I feel something heavy is pulling me down. I want to escape to have some free space but Hugo says "Why not we read together?" Okay, fine!

Hugo's POV 

Sofia is really into this book! Although she shifted some space for me to sit, I pulled her into my arms. She wants to escape but I pull her back. No escaping this time, Princess! "There you are, I heard you two talking," Amber saw me and Sofia cuddling, "I'm interrupting, am I?" asks Amber. "Just talking, Amber," says Sofia. "Homework," I say. "Right...." says Amber waking away. 

"Speaking of homework, come on, Hugo," Sofia stands up and reaches for me. "I was joking," I say. "You brought your homework with you," she points to my bag. Oh right, she wins this round. "Okay, I'll do my homework," I take out my books. 

Sofia is observant. Dad wanted me to bring my homework over so I could spend more time with her. "Just bring over, champ! Use an excuse to spend more time with her!" he said. Dad was right! 

James' POV 

I saw Sofia coming out of her room, I hid in a corner so that I could catch her. "Gotcha!" I catch hold of her! "Hey, James! You got me!" says Sofia. "Just like good old times! Hugo is here to visit, eh? Amber told me you two were doing homework," I smirk at her. "Oh, James! It's not what you think! Hugo does bring his homework over and I'm making sure he is going to finish them when he mentioned it," Sofia rolls her eyes. 

Sofia told me she wasn't aware of Hugo's surprise visit to the castle. "He didn't tell you either?" asks Sofia. "None of us," Amber walking to us. "He usually tells you, James," adds Sofia. "Yeah, I know," I say. Now, that the three of us are here, I think we should have some fun! "I love to, James but I need to check on Hugo whether his homework is done yet," says Sofia.
