Months passed, and Jake and Johnnie's new romantic relationship has blossomed into a wave of healthiness and healing.

Jake feels much happier than he did when he was with Carrington. He feels loved, and accepted with Johnnie as his boyfriend.

The couple are on the couch cuddling, Jake is scrolling on his phone. When suddenly he gets a phone call. It was his ex-boyfriend, Carrington.

Johnnie was laying on Jake's lap while he was scrolling through his phone. He was tired and half asleep, but he heard the phone ring. He looked up at Jake, wondering who was calling.

"Fuck.." Jake muttered as it rang a few times. The sound of his ringtone in the air as he stared at his screen.

Johnnie heard Jake curse under his breath and looked at him with concern. He knew that Jake had a past with Carrington and didn't like him very much since that happened. He sat up a bit and looked at Jake's phone.

"Who is it?" Johnnie asked.

"Carrington." Jake replied, the call stopped ringing. But soon after, the phone chimed the ringtone once again.

Johnnie's eyes widened when he heard the name Carrington. He didn't like the idea of Jake talking to his ex, especially after everything that had happened between them.

"Are you going to answer it?" Johnnie asked.

"Might as well." Jake replied, he answered it. Putting the phone on speaker phone. "Hello?" He said into the call. Clenching his teeth as he listened to Carrington's voice.

"Hey, Jake. I know it's kinda unexpected for me to call since we haven't talked since our breakup. But i was wondering if Chase and I can come over and talk things through? I want to check in on you and see how you're doing." Carrington said.

Johnnie clenched his jaw as he listened to Carrington's voice coming through the phone. He hated the idea of Chase being there too. He sat up straight, his body tensing up with anger.

"Uh, sure. I guess that's fine. When are you guys coming over?" Jake asked, trying to sound casual.

"We're actually on our way right now. We should be there in about 15 minutes." Carrington said. Johnnie couldn't help but feel annoyed at the thought of having to deal with Carrington and Chase.

"Oh alright, yeah. Yeah, that's cool. I honestly think we should talk things out so we can just move pass the whole mess." Jake agreed.

Johnnie listened to the conversation between Jake and Carrington, feeling his anger growing. He didn't want to have to deal with Carrington and Chase, especially not in their home. He clenched his fists, trying to control his emotions.

"Alright, yeah, yeah. See you soon, bye." Jake hangs up, and looks at Johnnie. "Baby, baby. C'mon now." he cupped Johnnie's face. "Carrington doesn't even know I'm with you yet. Besides, i have moved on and clearly he has too. There's nothing else that's gonna stir and i don't want to hold a grudge. So stop being emo about it." He jokingly said that last bit.

Johnnie rolled his eyes at Jake's comment about being emo. He knew that Jake was trying to lighten the mood, but it didn't really work.

"I–, I just don't trust Carrington. And I don't want him and Chase coming here. It's our space, and I don't want them ruining it." Johnnie said, his voice laced with annoyance.

"Baby, baby. Nothing is gonna be ruined. We're gonna talk things through and then they're gonna leave. Okay?" Jake leaned down and kissed Johnnie's forehead.

Johnnie let out a sigh, feeling slightly calmed by Jake's kiss. He knew that Jake was right, but he still couldn't shake off the feeling of anger.

"Fine, but I'm not going to be happy about it." Johnnie said, crossing his arms over his chest.
