Dragons and Oni

The ninja all drop to the couch.

"Finally, we're all back home and Ninjago is safe again." Cole opens his mouth to say and leans further into the couch.

"Wow, that was cheesy." Cole unleans and looks towards Kai.

"It's not even something I would say." Jay comments and Cole leers playfully.

"Geez, can't a guy be happy, we are all safe?"

"Yes, but pick a better line... .Lloyd nearly died and so did you!" Jay shouts and Cole shakes his head of the memory.

"Actually, I am curious about that. How did you not freeze in the cloud?" Nya asks. Lloyd also looked over from his channel surfing.

"I nearly suffocated, but called my ride and went towards the Monastery." Lloyd puts down the remote.

"I nearly did too, but Cole, how did you make it to your car so fast?" Cole shrugs.

"Sheer determination not to be frozen." Jay blinks at this response.

"You fell like 10 stories, how are you alive after that!" Cole shrugs again, now a little more shaky.

Zane nods "By my calculations you and the story... .you fell into a building and by the clouds' speed, it should have gotten you." Cole leers.

"What if we just drop it, I feel uncomfortable talking about the memory."

"Plot Armor." Jay muttered and Lloyd looked over at Zane skimming through channels.

"So what does everyone want to watch?" He asks and Jay beams and jumps up.

"We're not watching the new Fritz Donnegan movie!" Kai and Cole immediately shout.

Jay frowns.

"But come on, it's his last movie before retirement!"

"He's retiring!" Lloyd shouts and everyone glances at the green ninja. Lloyd lowered his head.

"I mean, uh-shit." Jay beams.

"See even our leader wants to see!"

"We'll make a vote." Lloyd stood up and everyone gave their suggestions on movies.

"Fritz Donegan in the dragon world!" Cole shakes his head at Jay.

(We literally just escaped that!)

Zane suggests some kind of movie about AI.

"Yeah, definitely not letting you watch a movie about AI taking over." Jay gave Zane a disturbed look.

"Lost Ark?" Kai smiles as Nya shakes her head.

"It's because Kai sees himself in it." Cole whispers to Jay, who gives a small grin and starts whispering.

"Do you think he sees himself in those fast car movies?" Cole nods.

"I think you all forgot we don't have these movies in our collections." Nya says on the floor, looking at all the tapes and DVDs. Lloyd frowns.

"Well, what do we have?" Cole looks down and Nya picks up the movies and places them all on the table. Jay eyes the Fritz Donnegan cover.

"Is this all?" Lloyd asks as Jay silently reads all the covers of Donnegan movies.

"It's the only ones that survived the Bounty crashes over the years."

"Jay, did you somehow bring these back from the first realm?" Jay shakes his head.

"I moved a lot of stuff to the Monastery once it was rebuilt." Zane admits and Nya nods.

"Yeah, I think I brought these over." Jay beams at Nya, who winks at him.

"I love you so much." He beams and Cole and Kai groan.

"Well, guess we're watching Donnegan again." Lloyd says, and Zane sits back with Cole and Kai.

"Yes!" Jay cheers and high fives Lloyd.

The movie went off after 2 hours, and Master Wu walks in. To see all the ninja passed out. Cole sleeping on the couch, Zane in the chair, Nya napping on a gray pallet on the floor, Kai on a red pallet also on the floor, Lloyd curled in green sheets, and Jay was in front of the TV, with his head down in a blue blanket.

Wu gives a small smile.

"You all have earned a rest, no training tomorrow." And he turns and slides the door closed.
