Aurora POV
I couldn't believe it, I actually had a decent conversation with Simon and we are cool now. It was now the next day. I spent the whole day preparing for that night. I finally decided on an outfit.
I wore a black, tight, strapless, short dress with simple black heels. I did a natural makeup look and added a black headband in my hair.
I arrived and showed the bouncer my ID. He saw that today was my birthday and wished me a happy birthday. I thanked him and went in. I swam through the crowd of people until I arrived at a booth where Jane and some boy were seated. She introduced the boy to me and I shook hands with him. I looked around for Simon but he was nowhere in sight.
"He hasn't arrived yet," Jane said.
She really knows how to read my mind. She got over Simon fast, she didn't even eat ice cream and cry on her couch like she always did.
I then heard a greeting and turned to see Simon. So he decided to come, that's surprising. Jane introduced Simon to the boy and Simon didn't have a hint of Jealousy in his eyes. I guess that's how you know their love was not real.
We all sat down and talked for a while, Jane bought me a slice of cake and we sang happy birthday. Simon was smiling, like a lot. It was great for all of us to get along, especially in adulthood. They ordered alcohol and I took my first shot.
I coughed after taking it and the rest laughed at me. I felt safe and secure around them, even Simon, especially Simon.
