Midnights's Pov:

I woke up, sadly, and ignored the ache in my arm as I changed into a white cropped T-shirt, making sure it covered the bruises on my ribs, and threw a dark blue jacket with yellow sleeves and yellow jean shorts.

I put on a gold choker and grabbed an extra hoodie in case my arms bled through the jacket.

I grabbed some weed and some coke in case I had to sell it later.

I went downstairs quietly. My dad was standing with his arms crossed in the kitchen, a few beer bottles scattered around the counter and living room.

"Uh. Hey. Morning." I greeted.

"What's with you and the neighbor girl?" He demanded.

"Nothing? What?" I asked confused.

"She dragged you into the living room. You don't ever let that happen." He stated, taking a step towards me. I straightened my spine and looked at him.

He was a little taller then me, being 6'4.

"She was just telling me not to cuss in front of her brother, that's all," I informed honestly.

"Hm. Good. If I find out you're hooking up her, I swear to god. You know I don't give a fuck who you date but if you corrupt an innocent girl with your massive annoying ass fucking problems, I will kick the shit out of your fucking face." He said coldly, shoving me forward as I moved behind him.

I took a deep and slightly shaky breathe and replied. "Yes, sir," I said quietly, barely above a whisper.

I heard a turn of a heel, and felt his gaze staring at me.

"What was that?" He asked, with a dangerous undertone.

"Yes, sir," I repeated louder.

"Hm. Fine. Just so you know, if you get below a B on that quiz, I'll find out, and I'll kill you." He said.

I nodded, taking another breathe and holding it.

He hummed and turned around, walking off.

I let out a breathe.

At least he's not homophobic?

I grabbed my bag and exited, getting on my motorcycle and driving to school.

I ran into her again.

As usual, I walked up, leaned against the wall, but this time, I didn't smoke. I was too worried about that test- or, what would come after it.

"Hi," she greeted with a smile.

"Shut the fuck up," I shut her down.

Her smile faded and she nodded.

I was not in the mood to talk today.

"Your family's nice," she stated.

I took a deep breathe, trying not to kick the shit out of her right there.

"Mm," I hummed back.

The bell rang, so I hit her head against the wall again and walked into school.
