Ch 15

Lukes pov

I was curled into a ball trying to get comfortable in the horrid plastic chair in the waiting room. Just after Id got to her the paramedics had come, and she blacked out. They had rushed her to the back and were refusing to let any of us see her since we werent actually family. It had been a few hours now, and i was so beyond worry. However I was also exhausted so I was slowly slipping out of consciousness when a doctor came walking in asking for Heathers family. "Im the closest thing she has to family" I said quietly still incredibly worried for her. "What are you to her sir?" "I-im her boyfriend. Please tell me shes ok," i was all but whimpering at this point so worried about my princess. "Shes fine, a few broken finger and a sprained ankle that have been treated but otherwise shes fine." I breathed out a small sigh befor asking, "why did she pass out then?" He gave me a sympathetic smile saying that her body was unable to handle the amount of pain so she blacked out. He led me through the halls to a small room. "Shes in here, but I can only allow you to go in for a few minutes because she needs to rest. I thanked him quickly before walking into her room. She was awake, but I could see the pain in her eyes. "Baby girl I am so so sorry," i said quietly running my thumb over her hand. She didnt even look at me however. "Lukey i was so scared, but you... You left me," she looked at me fear clear in her eyes, "you promised you wouldnt leave." The tears freely pouring down her face now. "Heather, princess Im sorry. When things got crazy I tried to hold on to you, but when you fell the security just kept pushing. I went back for you, but by the time I got to you..." The tears were now spilling over my eyes also. "You had blacked out." I couldnt stop the sniffle as I tried so hard not to cry. "Princess I was so scared when I saw you, your face and sides black and blue. Your fingers twisted at strange angles, ankle swollen and turning purple. Baby, im so sorry please dont hate me." I closed my eyes feeling the tears drip down my face. But she reached up wiping the tears away, and forcing me to look at her. "Luke I could never hate you, but I was terrified. You knew I was already having anxiety...... Just this time," she trailed off looking directly in my eyes, "please dont leave." She scooted over on the bed wincing a few times in the process before looking at me with the biggest puppy eyes ive ever seen. Which is saying something having grown up with calum. "C-cuddle?" She asked quietly holding her arms out to me. "Baby, I really dont want to hu..." "Please luke. Im cold, and I really need my lukey cuddles" she cut me off. I couldnt resist her sad puppy eyes anymore as I climbed onto the small bed, gently pulling her close to me as she snuggled into my chest. She was almost asleep still clinging tightly when her doctor walked in. "Well I was about to say that visiting time is over, but I can tell that making you leave would cause more problems than its worth. Just please be careful, And if you need anything just hit the call button and a nurse will come in. I nodded quietly, and spent a few minutes checking over her small body. Her wrists were finally beginning to heal, and the gash on her hand was almost gone. Which I was glad for, because I wasnt sure any of us would be able to handle that situation if the doctor began asking questions.

The next morning I woke up with Heather cuddled completely on top of me. I gently placed her back on the bed and walked into the hall. "Ahh, Mr. hemmings I was just about to come see you. Heather will be able to leave later today once we complete a few more tests." I smiled and thanked him before walking over to the cafeteria and getting some coffee. Once I had the warm beverage in hand, caffiene powering my system I headed back to Heathers room. I walked in just as she woke up. "Hey babe." I said quietly helping her sit up. She whinced a few time, but definitely looked better. "How do you feel babe," I asked quietly brushing my fingers through her hair. "I'm okay luke. I hurt in several places, but I feel calm for once its nice." She replied quietly which is when I noticed the paper percription on the table for antidepressants. "Well thats good princess. We get to leave later they just want to run a few more tests ok." She smiled nodding as I handed her her favorite coffee. "Thanks baby." she said smiling as she sipped calmly at the warm drink.

Heathers pov

It was amazing and wonderful how calm and relaxed i felt laying there with the warm coffee in my hands. I slowly laid my head back relaxing feeling completely at peace for the first time since i was a little kid. A huge smile spreading across my face when none of my inner demons made an appearance. "Hey babe," i heard Alex say softly beside me but I didn't want to leave my paradise just yet. I laid quietly with my eyes closed waving in the general direction of his voice. After a bit I slowly opened my eyes seeing all nine guys watching me. "H hey" I whispered quietly blushing brightly. I couldn't hide my smile however when I looked down at my lap seeing the old ratty blanket that Tyler and I had made years ago. "Y you still have it" i beamed at Tyler. "Of course I do it was the one thing that was always able to make you smile no matter the circumstance. Its helped me stay happy since you left." He replied sadly. I reached out holding his hand tight, "Im not going anywhere Ty I swear." "I know love and None of us are either we will all help take care of you," he smiled as they all found a spot either on my bed or in the surrounding chairs. I couldnt stop my giggle as the doctor walked in seeing me surrounded by nine guys.

"Uh well Im glad to see youre awake Miss Calloway. Um youre last round of tests will be in about twenty minutes, however Im afraid only one person may come with you" he said glancing around at all of the men in the room. "Thats fine Ill just bring Luke these guys are all just extended family mostly brothers, and my strange uncle Jack" i giggled winking at jack as he pouted. "Well in that case if youll come with me we can get the tests done then you may leave."
