My hungry gets the best of me

I remember my father and the anger I felt towards this woman. But her kind voice made it hard to stay mad, plus I was hungry and my feet hurt from all the running we just did.

I looked a the fury behind us and at the others and I heard Grover's stomach growl like mind. She looked at me I could feel the hundreds of eyes on me. I messed with my rings thinking that this was a trap. Percy had the same face I had and as much as I wanted to piss him if i didn't.

Medusa said in the kindest voice " you kids seem hungry want some lunch?" Annabeth faced me and I knew her history of Medusa and her mother " let us talk about it" she said giving us time.

Medusa went inside and we shared a look. We talked about this probably a real but Grover was already half way in. We were at the door and I stopped with the fear spilling all over my stomach. Percy stopped by my side and said " hey? You okay?" I wanted to lie to him so badly but the thought of my dad killed me " this woman is the same person who killed my dad" I blurted out holding back my tears " I know how you feel" I looked up to him, meeting his eyes " my mom and the Minotaur" I remember seeing him on that hill.

I opened door and smelled all the delicious food and I saw muffins! My favorite and they were chocolate! I rushed to them and grabbed more than I could chew. "Hungry are we?" Medusa said and I just nodded as I bite each muffin.

Percy sat down but I stood as I grabbed all the sugar I could get my hands on. " so if you're not a monster, what are you?" He asked and I almosted choked " a survivor" I looked her up and down "so am I" I said coldly.

"You gotta be more than that" Percy said and I finally sat down. She started explaining her story but I didn't care about what she had to say. Neither did Annabeth. They started getting at each other and I looked at Grover doing the same as me, eat as much as you can before we get yeeted out of the house.

Medusa look at me play with my necklace and said "your mother is quite a strong woman, even Zeus fears her. Image you! I mean the daughter of the night, chaos and more! She most love you a lot" I rolled my eyes annoyingly. She didn't I could tell you that! She  never showed anything sign of loving me at all until I was running with Thalia after getting in a fight with my dad once about his new toxic girlfriend who hated my guts. I had turned the day into night when a monster cut my arm. Luke killed the monster but it was shocked. Annabeth was scared of me for a while but she came around.

"She only claimed me when it was important to her" I said trying to control my emotions. Medusa got up and looked at me and brushed her hand against my check and it was so soft. "I know you hate me" she said sadly " I knew you think I killed your father" I wanted to meet her eyes but I stopped myself "he said he wanted to get to know me because I had a connection with your mother but he pushed me" she said and I tried to turn her out" he took of my veil saying that I was different from the app" I knew he always got women wrong.

She sound hurt too but Percy said " do you smell something burning?" He looked at me and winked and I felt my stomach do a flip.

She rushed to the kitchen. Annabeth said to us " get ready to run" Percy went to the kitchen after Medusa and I wonder if she was telling the truth about my dad
