Fawn's POV

I wake up to my alarm at five fourty. I quickly shower and thrown on a dark pink tank top, black crop top, jean shorts, and throw my hair in a pony tail before heading down to the kitchen. Mom is already there making breakfast while Aunt Bubbles and Aunt Buttercup are barely awake, sitting at the table. Dad, Uncle Butch, and Uncle Boomer are in the living room, trying to wake up. My cousins and brother drag themselves down the stairs. I reach to steal a piece of Bacon, but mom slaps my hand.

"Horses, then Breakfast." She says while shooting me a glare.

"Fiiiiiinnnnneeee." I groan and walk over to the large glass doors that lead into the porch. I put on my boots and run out the door toward the barn.

After feeding the horses, I walk back up to the house and leave my boots outside. The others are more awake, and are sitting in the dining room. Mom is finishing up breakfast with Aunt Bubbles, Aunt Buttercup, and my girl cousin.

"Fawn. What time is it?" Mom asks.

"Dunno." I say and walk into the dinning room.

"Breakfast is served." Mom says as the plates get set down. We eat our food, while a small chatter is held. When we finish, we put the dishes in the dishwasher and Mom heads out with Aunt Bubbles, Aunt Buttercup, Rave, and my girl cousin.

"Okay. So what do we do now?" Uncle Boomer asks.

"Follow me." I say and I put my boots on and lead everyone down to the barn. I plug my phone into the speaker and play some music.

"Why are we in a barn?" My boy cousin asks.

"Stand in that wash stall over there." I tell them and open the main gate. I open every stall except for Star's and let all the mare's loose. Star is the only Stallion we have. I close the gate.

"So what now?" Dad asks.

"Mucking stalls, refilling water, new hay for them." I say, reading off my mental list. I set my boy cousin and Uncle Boomer on filling the water while Uncle Butch and Dad are on hay duty. I grab a wheelbarrow and start mucking out the stalls.

Two Hours Later

"Done"
"Done"
"Finished"
All Five of us are done all the mare's stalls. Star whinnies from his stall. I lead him out and over to the training ring. Then I quickly clean his stall and grab the tack from my personal tack room next to his stall. The door is in Star's stall, and I have all sorts of things in here. I have a bulletin board full of pictures. There is a Picture of me, and Aaron, with Star, and Apollo. We were smiling while the horses were making what looks like funny faces. I quickly tack up Star as the others settle on the small bleachers outside the ring. I quickly mount him and start the exercises.

After I warm him up, I lead him over the smaller jumps, moving up to the larger jumps. After that, I do a little dressage and then untack him.

"It is truly amazing, the connection you have with that horse." Uncle Boomer says as I hose Star down.

"Thank you." I say and turn Star loose. I grab my phone and we head up to the house.

"So, what else do you do around here?" Dad asks.

"Well, I like to camp in the woods, take trail rides, practice Field Hockey." I tell him as we walk inside. There is a knock at the door and I open it to see Officer Jones.

"Fawn. Good to see your home. I'm sure you know what to do with him." Officer Jones says and shoves Aaron at me.

"Thank you." I tell him at close the door.

"What did you do this time?" I ask him as we walk into the kitchen. My family looks at Aaron and me. I sit on the counter by the sink and look down at him.

"I didn't do anything.... I don't know what you're talking about." He says and I shoot him a death glare.

"Why don't I believe you." I say and he sighs.

"I accidentally caught a tree on fire. And burned down a small shack. Hehe." He says and leans against the wall. I look down at the black dragon birth mark on the inside of my left wrist. I chuck a fork at him from the nearby wall and it lands right next to his head in the wall.

"Eh! What was that for?" My boy cousin asks.

"Next time, I aim for you. Don't let that happen." I threaten Aaron. I can tell my whole eyes are red. I am half dragon- half demon.

"Yes ma'am." He says, saluting me and I laugh.

"So.... Hi. I'm Chase. By the way." My boy cousin says. So Chase is his name.

"I'm Aaron." Aaron replies, trying to get the fork out of the wall. He tries with all his strength and still can't get it out. I sigh.

"It isn't that hard you know." I tell him and gently pick the fork out of the wall. I use my magic to fix the small holes in the wall.

"Fawn. Is Aaron here?" The voice of my mother asks as she walks in the house

"Yup." I say with a devilish grin.

"Care to tell me why I my hair almost caught on fire?" Mom asks Aaron, walking into the kitchen.

"In my defense, I was in an intense battle and you walked right into the path after I sent the attack." Aaron says, cautiously looking at the utensil drawer next to me.

"Aaron. Please try to stop getting in trouble. I really don't think your mom wants to hear that you have a fine when she gets back from Paris. Now just go back to your grandparents house." Mom says.

"See us later. Nice to meet you Chase." Aaron says and walks out the door. Mom shoots me a "why was HE here" look.

"Don't look at me for an explanation. He's the idiot who keeps destroying stuff." I huff.

"Yeah. Like you're any better." My snorts. "And stop throwing forks into the wall." She says and I start laughing. I laugh so hard that I fall off the counter and land on the floor, laughing even harder. I hear small chuckles. Life is good.
