"How do you know all this?"
"I know everything, so answer the question."
"I can't imagine. Hitler mentioned that he had some unfinished business with my father. He wanted to tell me, but I didn't want to know. However, he did not manage to do it, although I could see that he would not have taken into account my wishes. I must have pissed him off when I called him ugly," I sighed deeply and rolled my eyes.
"With your father? And your father is..."
"It was..." I shot back angrily. "He's been gone for a long time."
"What happened to him?"
"He died."
"Died? Or was he killed?"
"I don't know, I was quite a little when I lost him."
"Good. Your father died when you were little. But after all, people don't die by themselves. And how deliberately I managed to find out one thing," after a long silence, Pius spoke again. I didn't understand why he interrogated me at first, and now he says that he has found out everything. "Are you interested?"
"I wonder who?"
"How your father died, of course."
"My mother said that he used to climb mountains, but once he couldn't hold on and fell right into the fast river, the current of which carried him right to the waterfall. He drowned when he fell because he didn't know how to swim on purpose," I explained to Pius. My voice was still angry, but still trembling with excitement.
"How strange that a high-ranking general couldn't swim," he sneered with a smile on his face.
"He was not a general. He was a doctor."
"Before he became a doctor, he was in command of an air force unit," Pius still spoke calmly and quietly despite my outbursts of anger.
"Nonsense. I wish I knew this fact about my own father," I muttered, my voice shaking even more now.
"Or you didn't know because your father never told you about it. Mother, by the way, too," Pius raised his eyebrows.
I was silent. I couldn't speak half a word anymore. I wanted to fly to the ground.
Why did this man choose to talk to me about my father? After all, no one else knows the real truth about my father but myself. After all, I am the only daughter of my father who knows everything about him. After all, complete strangers cannot know about the father's personal life. After all, it can't be true.
It can be?
"Listen, your father died when you were..." Pius suddenly spoke again.
"Nine," I continued. "When I turned nine, my mother picked me up from school before class was supposed to end. Then he sat down at the table where the three of us always ate and told him the sad news in a completely calm tone. To this day, I do not understand how she managed to remain completely indifferent to the death of her own beloved husband and the father of her own child."
