Hello, my dear Readers!
.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.
I'm back with a story that is both new and old.
I first wrote this novel more than five years ago. Although it is set against the backdrop of the Second World War, it is neither a historical novel nor an attempt to recreate real events. Above all, it is a story about people - about love, loss, hope, and the human will to survive even when the entire world is falling apart.
While writing this book, I intentionally chose to place as little emphasis as possible on the brutality of war, bombings, and violence. Instead, I focused on the experiences of the main character, her choices, and the inner battles she is forced to face.
I want to make one thing absolutely clear: this story does not glorify war or aggression in any way. I do not support violence, hatred, or human suffering. Here, war serves only as the historical backdrop against which this story unfolds.
I also understand that writing about a period I have never personally experienced carries a great responsibility. For that reason, this novel does not claim to be historically accurate—it is a work of fiction inspired by a particular era in history.
Those of you who are already familiar with my writing probably know that romance always holds a special place in my stories. This one is no exception. At its heart lies the connection between people, their emotions, and the hope that can sometimes survive even among the ruins.
I sincerely hope you will give this story a chance and join me on this journey.
