Far from the group, two other women were staying in the swimming pool. They kept staring at Choso and his friends with an annoyed face. "Look at all these idiots..." Aika muttered. The other one threw her long blonde hair away from her face and sighed. "Choso isn't dumb like them", she replied. "He just fell for the wrong girl...". Mizuki's cousin chuckled. "It must be bad to have your crush stolen from you, right Yuki ?". The woman rolled her eyes. She quickly got back to staring at him.
"I don't understand", she admitted, "I tried talking to him, and to his brothers. I even became friends with Geto, who's part of their group. But as soon as this woman appeared, it became like Choso didn't care about anything else... Well, I still think he loves his brothers, but friends don't feel the same anymore for him...". Aika bursted out laughing, and got her mouth quickly shut by her friend.
"Don't be so loud, I don't want anyone to see us..." she whispered. The other giggled. "Don't worry, just keep staring at Choso, I understood... It's just that they seemed so pathetic when they came ! I hate them both. I was the family's favourite, but as soon as they realised she wasn't lying...". She grumbled the next few words, making them impossible to hear.
"What I mean is that she didn't deserve to be loved by others..." she finished. Yuki sighed. "I think you're overreacting, you don't have to be so mean... She's just somebody among everyone else, just respect her already and stop caring so much about how you could ruin her life, it's annoying... Listen, you've always seemed like a good, but if you really hate your cousin that much, just let her do whatever she wants and don't bother staying with her. I'm sure she's not that bad."
She got back to staring at Choso, and noticed he was holding her against his chest. His gaze was soft, and he couldn't look away from her eyes. His friends had swimmed a bit further, and he took that opportunity to gave her a quick kiss before joining them. Yuki clenched her fists. "Alright, you won. I hate her..." she muttered as the other giggled a bit, glad she won.
The day passed, and the group stayed together at the swimming pool the whole time. In the evening, they left to walk around the beach. The sun was creating a warm reddish light around the sea, creating an incredible landscape.
"What do we do tomorrow ?" Eso asked in an enthusiastic tone. "It'll be our last day here, right ?" Everybody lowered their eyes. They didn't want to leave eachother, especially the new couple. "Don't worry sweetheart, I'll come and see you whenever you need it", Choso promised. The other nodded. Kechizu looked at his slightly older brother and rolled his eyes. "You truly know how to destroy a conversation..." he grumbled as the other one felt guilty. "Don't worry Eso, we needed to have this conversation, whatever day it was. I didn't want her to believe I was just gonna leave her... You know what ? Let's hang out at the pool again tomorrow, then go to the beach in the evening like today. It will be great ! We'll see how we can keep in touch later !". The others nodded, and stayed for a while to watch the sunset.
After a while, they headed back to their bungalows, while Choso brought his girlfriend back. He gave her a warm embrace and a quick kiss before letting her go. This time, her mom welcame her with a hug and talked to her until the end of dinner. She wanted to know everything she could share, and Aika, even though she wanted attention, didn't refuse to listen : she was trying to find something to use against her. Not succeeding in that task, she went to sleep and left her family alone, bringing a huge relieved smile on Mizuki's face.
