KAIORI SMILED AND finished the icing of the red velvet cupcakes she made specially for Malkiel. Over the time she learned that he loved anything red velvet, so every time he came over she always baked him something. Last week it was her infamous cookies since those were his favorite and today it was cupcakes.
She didn't see him all week because he was extremely busy with work, he went in early and clocked out super late.
But now he was off for a few days, and she was extremely excited to see him. She missed him really bad.
It also has been a week since the incident, at first it was a bit hard on Kaiori. She was hurt, in disbelief, angry—she went through a lot of emotions. Of course Malkiel was there with her every step of the way.
Even if he couldn't be here physically, he made sure he was there emotionally. He called her everyday before he started his day to check up on her, he texted throughout the day. He sent her DoorDash when she was hungry and didn't feel like getting up. They sometimes slept on FaceTime. Overall, he was a very big help to Kaiori.
Like always, she bounced back. She saw that everything her ex did was to hurt her and she didn't want to give him that type of power over her life anymore.
She didn't want Killian to have an effect on her emotions anymore, she wanted to be free of him and his emotional traumas.
" Teddy no, you can't have none of those" She fussed at him and swatted his hand away. He was trying to take one of her cupcakes, but those were exclusively for Malkiel.
" Mugga he won't even notice I took one" He argued back, very determined to have one of her cupcakes. She didn't do them often, and those were his favorite.
" Kerion no" She put emphasis on 'no'. " I'll make you some tonight if you want Teddy" She offered. " I'll even make them how you like with your nasty glass of milk" She frowned not knowing how he could like milk. She hated it.
" Aight, thanks Mugga" He kissed her forehead and exited the kitchen proud of his plan. Truth be told, he didn't want the red velvet cupcakes. He just wanted Kaiori to bake him his favorites.
" Niggas" She shook her head, already knowing that he just wanted her to bake him his favorites. He was so predictable.
" Teddy, what we doing for Kevvy's birthday? You know I was thinking we—Oh my gosh hiii!" She rambled looking down at her phone as she entered the living room. Just to see Key with Malkiel.
" Hi mama" He watched her excitement and engulfed her in a hug. He missed her presence, he missed her scent, he missed everything about Kaiori. " I missed you" He mumbled in her neck as he started rubbing his back.
