Chapter 11

As Gemini and Fourth walk through the narrow street of the old town, the night wraps around them like a comforting blanket.

Their footsteps are quiet, as they walk in rhythm with the music. They steal glances at each other and smile, there's a comfort they feel in being together without the need for words.

They pause in a small cafè with windows glowing warmly as they smell the scent of freshly baked pastries.
Moments later, they emerge with a single pastry between them, sharing bites as they continue their walk. Fourth decided to break the comforting silence as his mind was full of worries and doubts.

"Gem"

"Hmm" he smiles at Fourth and bites the pastry

"What if i don't get to survive the operation? I'm scared Gem"

"You have to survive for my sake. I believe you can do it...why are you scared when I'll always be here hmm?"

Fourth nods agreeing with Gemini as they near the end of the street, the music fades leaving just sounds of their footsteps.

"Look Gem, a shooting star..make a wish"

"Make a wish too"

They both make wishes that neither of them speaks aloud but both feel deep inside their hearts.

Finally as the night get colder, he wraps his arms around Fourth's shoulders pulling him close.
Fourth rest his head against Gemini's chest listening to the steady heart beat of his heart, feeling the warmth of his body against his. Their hands intertwined, they steal glances and smile.

"Promise me we'll have many more nights like this Fourth " They walk back their steps leading them to the hotel.

"I promise "

"Promise you'll come back to me?"

"Sure" Fourth paused "look who's scared now" he teased

"Get on my back I'll carry you or you'll get weak after this long walk" Gemini squatted

"Thanks, I should get sick more often so you can carry me" Fourth laughed.

The next day, they packed heading home as Gemini was needed at work.
He stops at Santa's place to inform him about the office work but finds Perth and Santa kissing they startle and try to compose themselves.

"It's not what you think Gem I..." Perth moved away from Santa trying to hug Gemini

"Stop right there! I overheard you talking to Fourth on the phone threatening him yet you've been having an affair with my friend! I know everything " Gemini rumbled

"I'm sorry Gemini...it's the work of the devil" Santa pleads

"Don't worry about it I'm not interested in this devil either, here's the sd card you'll use tomorrow " Gemini left and went back to Fourth and Mudmee in the car.

"What's wrong Gem?" Fourth asked seeing Gemini's irritated face

"It's Perth i saw him kissing Santa "

"That's new..do you still love him?" Fourth asked

"Why would you say that when i clearly came back to you?"

"Because I can see how angry you are"

He holds Fourth's hand " I'm angry because Perth threatened you last night but you didn't tell me anything about it "

"I'm sorry Gem, let's get home i feel tired" Fourth wanted to get some sleep.

As they got home, they wake up Mudmee and unpack their stuff. Gemini freshened up and heads to work.
While Fourth unpacks their stuff Mudmee comes to their room.
