MY HUSBAND'S EX

Chapter 6

Perth insist on Gemini staying and Gemini decides to check his phone to find several missed calls from Fourth and Satang.
He leaves immediately to where Fourth was but doesn't find him..he checks the bathroom to see blood on the floor and that's how he got weak on his knees.

He then goes to Fourth's room and sleeps on his bed. He sniffs his pillow and talks to himself  "Fourth please be okay " he falls asleep waiting for Fourth's call.

The next morning, Fourth is still on the oxygen pipe and fighting for his life, Satang calls Gemini to the hospital who drove a few minutes there.

Gemini: What happened?? Is Fourth okay?

Satang: He's not fine..Fourth was diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer

Gemini: That can't be doctor!

Satang: I don't think he'll survive this and what made him even more weak was the blood donation

Gemini: I used to insist on him donating his blood to Perth but he never told me anything why would he hide such a thing from me??

Suddenly, the doctor is called and he heads to Fourth's room. He was struggling to breath while holding Satang's hand

Fourth: (in a weak tone) I'm..dying..doctor...help me

Satang: hey you'll be fine you're the strongest patient i know

Fourth: Don't ever tell Gemini about this..

Satang: Too late for that, I can't keep my promise when you were at the verge of death

Fourth: please..check on him

Satang: You're worried about him when you look like this??

Fourth: Because I love him Satang

Satang: fine you'll go through a biopsy test for confirmation

Satang goes outside to find Gemini kneeling down crying his eyes out

Satang: Why are you crying

Gemini: (squeezing Satang's neck) Make Fourth feel better! I don't know how you'll do but do it or the world won't contain the both of us

Satang struggles as Gemini frees his hand, he coughs ..

Satang: So you want me to die huh? Why would you care about him when you left him alone last night?

Gemini: I don't enjoy doing that okay?

Satang: What do you mean?

Gemini: I fell in love with Fourth way back when we were just teens..I was Perth's bestfriend then but I saw how they used to mistreat him. At first, i pitied him but he used to smile whenever he saw me. And the moment when I fell for him was when it was heavily raining even though he seemed scared of the thunder sounds, he covered his ears and brought me an umbrella in the rain..I couldn't stop myself from liking him.

Satang: so touching..but how did you end up having Perth instead

Gemini: we were bestfriends, he got sick and it was really serious..so he asked me to be his boyfriend for a day

Satang: but you're still boyfriends with him?

Gemini: Yes because in that same day, we slept together and he got attached

Satang: So what will you do? And if you love Fourth why are you cold towards him

Gemini: so many questions, is this an interview?

Satang: just curious

Gemini: Fourth forced me to marry him and that's when I knew he married me for my money because a good person doesn't give an ultimatum

Satang: but you should be happy that you're married to the person you love right?

Gemini: he doesn't love me back,  he only wants my money and a place to live

Satang: What if he does love you

Gemini: he already told me he just wanted a place to stay

Satang nods

Gemini: pl-ease treat him?

Satang: He needs –

Nurse: Doctor the patient in room 309 is still coughing blood please do somethingq

Satang hurries to Fourth's room and Gemini follows him.. He tightly hugs Fourth as he coughs blood on Gemini's back. Satang pulls him out

Satang: please you ain't allowed in here for now

Gemini: Why? Can't you see he's dying doctor please do something

Gemini doesn't leave Fourth's hand he kept holding him even when Satang tries to get him out of the room.

Satang: he has to go through a biopsy procedure to confirm the diagnosis then we'll do a surgery to remove the primary tumor

Gemini:Just tell me he'll survive this

Satang: That i don't know for sure

Gemini: Fourth say something...you'll get better and come to me soon right? ( Gemini cries)

Fourth just looked at him and with a pale face he forced out a smile.

Perth also came to the hospital to look for Gemini but found his doctor..

Doc: (drags Perth aside) Do you know you've been draining blood from someone so ill..he's gonna die soon

Perth: shhh..as long as Gemini doesn't know about me pretending to be sick then it's okay I'll still use him

Doc: No we can't sell his blood anymore he's so ill

Perth: What happened to him?

Doc: He has stage four kidney cancer

Perth: I bet he'll die anytime soon but before he does can we get his blood one more time?

Doc: That's impossible!

Perth: Nothing is impossible i just have to pretend to be sick again and we'll get his blood

Doc: I won't risk this time you might get caught

Perth: No Gemini has no idea

Gemini: PERTH YOU???!!! (Slaps Perth really hard)

Perth gets tensed and moved one step back but Gemini gives him another slap.
The doctor tries to get away but Gemini holds him

" i know you well so you better resign before I take further actions" Gemini rumbled as the doctor nervously nods.
