"So, is this your first rodeo, trouble?" He says, popping a peanut into his mouth.

"You need to stop calling me that." I say, taking a peanut into my own mouth. "But yes, this is my first rodeo."

"What is it to you do for work?" He says and I cheer along with the crowd.

"I'm a military woman, Major L/N at your service." I smile, saluting at him. "Served 7 years before I met Javi."

"So, how come you haven't gone back?"

"Too scared to lose what I already got."

"You don't face your fears, you ride 'em." He says and salutes at me, winking too.

All of a sudden, a load of leaves come flowing down. I look at Tyler knowing damn well what's happening. Javi always underestimated me but my ranks in the military prove otherwise. Soon, siren beging to blare and people being to run.

"We need to find somewhere with a shelter " I tell Tyler and I begin to make my way out of the stadium, jumping over the metal fence and beelining towards the laundromat.

"Do you guys have a basement or a tornado shelter?" I say, running in.

"Hey, lady. There's a line." The man in the front of the line says, threatening me

"Hey, punk. It's a tornado warning so why don't you back off." Tyler says as he stands behind me.

"There's always a tornado warning, 9 times out of 10 it's a false alarm." A lady says and Tyler sighs.

"We're being serious." I say and look at the back door that swings open. "C'mon, look theres a pool."

A mother and child follow behind me as I lead them towards it and soon the roof of the laundromat flies off. I look behind me to see Tyler escorting the laundromat staff out as well as the other two people.

Except, the man who yelled at me and the woman who refused to believe got into a car.

"No, stop! Don't do that!" I yell as I help the mother and child get down into the pool.

The mother gets down into the swimming and reaches out her arms to hold her daughter incase she slips.

"Go over there and hold onto the pipes!" I instruct the two of them and they listen, running for the sewage system.

I being to get down the ladder and hurry as I see Tyler and the other man come rushing. My leg slips and I bang my cheek and head off one of the metal rails, still I rush down and over to the pipes.

I see Tyler helping the man down the stairs after me before getting down himself.

Suddenly, a huge vending machine comes crashing into the swimming pool. Instead of coming directly to me, Tyler goes back to help the other man who was stuck the vending machine.

"Hold on, don't get up! Crawl!" Tyler yells at the man.

"Hey, hold onto the pipes and don't let go." I tell the little girl as I hold onto them too.

I watch as the man gets pulled away into the tornado and Tyler crawls over to us. He covers my body with his, his hand just over mine as he leans his chin over my head.

"I'm here, baby, I'm here. Just hold on." He whispers to me.

Before long, the tornado moves on and I sigh in relief. Tyler moves away from me and checks my face to see if there are any scratches but theres only a small wound from when I hurt myself on the ladder.

"That's gonna need stitches, sweetheart." He says and I groan.

"Dammit, let's just get these people out and see who else I can help." I smile as I help everyone get out of the pool.

"Do you know where your mommy is?" I ask as a small girl clutches onto my leg. I lean down to her as she shakes her head and pick her up. "Let's go find her."

I take her over to the van where all of Tyler's friends are handing out clothing and food to those who lost their things in the tornado.

"Has anyone come looking for this little angel?" I ask them and the little girl hides her head in my neck. "She can't find her mom."

"Sorry but no one has turned up." Lily says and I sigh. "Does she like lollipops?"

I shrug but Lily gives me the lollipop from her bag anyway. The little girls face lights up as she sees it and I smile.

"What's that?" The girl asks and pokes my open wound that I forgot about.

"That's an owie, please don't touch it." I smile and the girl nods.

"Hey, trouble. How're you feeling?" I hear Tyler from behind me and I immediately know he's talking about Javi.

"The wound is okay, I can barely feel it."

"That's not what I meant and you know it." He scolds, his left hand on my cheek and the right hand gently tracing over the wound. "We should get that closed up though, come here."

Lily takes the little girl from my hands as Tyler brings me up to the truck. I sit on the drivers seat, facing the door as Tyler grabs the first aid kit and stands between my legs.

I wince as he washes the wound out with rubbing alcohol. He apologises and continues, getting all of the grime out. Then he starts putting bandaid over bandaid on it.

"This is only temporary, you probably should go to the doctors and get actual stitches done." Tyler says as he finishes up.

"Thank you for looking out for me Tyler and protecting me too." I say, biting my lip nervously.

Rather than responding to me, Tyler leans in closely and his lips touch mine as his right hand cradles my face. I kiss him back with the same love and kindness.

"What the fuck is going on?" I abruptly hear.

All of a sudden, Tyler is ripped away from me and thrown to the ground my Javi. I jump out of the car and pull Javi off of him, pushing him away.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I yell.

"Why the hell were you kissing him?! We're engaged." Javi yells back.

"Why the hell were you kissing Kate since we're engaged?!" I shout and the blood practically drains from Javi's face.

"How did you-"

"I saw you! I saw you both at that diner. Was I not enough for you?!" I cry out and Tyler holds me back from getting closer to him. "Wasn't I enough?"

"You weren't, I guess. If you were more like Kate I could-" And before I know it, Tyler runs over and swings at Javi.
