And talk they did. The two had a very long conversation about both Naruto's mother and father, alongside why Hiruzen found it necessary to keep them from Naruto.
Naruto, Hiruzen, Asuma, and Konohamaru were sitting at the dinner table, having a rare family meal.
"So, Sarutobi-sensei, are you going to be giving me... it tomorrow or tonight." Hiruzen smiled.
"I'll be giving you your inheritance tomorrow. I want you to get plenty of sleep tonight."
The next mourning the two met in training field three. "Your month will be over soon enough, only about a week or so left. Take these." Naruto held up his hand, catching two scrolls.
"These hold your clans and your parents jutsu and secrets. Focus on these and what I've already taught you. I'll be way to busy will the new teams to be hands on with your training, so you'll need to figure most of it out on your own. You can of course always come to me for help." Naruto nodded softly and was about to leave for his preferred training ground when Hiruzen stopped him.
"Catch." Naruto caught the scroll suddenly tossed to him. "It's full of sealing supplies. Your going to need it." Naruto smiled wide and walked to the Sarutobi compound.
If he was practicing calligraphy, he should do it in the study.
Naruto quickly arrived in the study and hastily opened the scroll, a wide smile on his face, anticipation leaking into his eyes.
"Fuinjutsu Level 1" Was the title of the first book pulled from the scroll. He eagerly opened the book only to see a letter fall onto his lap as he opened it.
Naruto
I know if your reading this, then both your father and I are dead.
Naruto's hands began to shake, knowing now the weight of the letter in his hands.
I'm sure I don't need to tell you your father and I loved you to death. But just in case, I'll say it anyway.
We love you.
Naruto shook his head hard, clearing his mind enough to focus on the rest of the letter, he could mourn after he was done.
We had these books arranged for you as a full Fuinjutsu curriculum. From the basics all the way to Uzumaki forbidden jutsu and seals.
I thought you may want to continue the family tradition of Fuinjutsu mastery.
Start with the book this letter was in. At the back of the book is an in depth instruction manual for the Shadow Clone Jutsu and it's variants.
I know you'll figure it out. If nothing else you can ask Kakashi to help you. He was always a sweet boy, even if he was a Tsundere.
Naruto gave a chocked laugh, imagining the ANBU he knew as a Tsundere
As for the Uzumaki inheritance, I'm sure your godfather will fill you in. It is his duty after all.
"The old man must be him. I guess I kind of understand why he wouldn't tell me..." Naruto let out a small sigh before going back to the letter.
Lastly, Son, make sure you look for survivors from the clan. There must at least be stragglers, if you find them, take them in.
I know it's a lot to burden yourself with son, but I have faith in you.
With love,
Kushina Uzumaki.
Naruto shook his head softly before closing the scroll, giving a quick prayer for his parents before going through the first Fuinjutsu book.
Naruto made one clone to practice for each subject he covered. By end end of the first book he had made about 25 clones, testing seals and practicing technique.
He wanted to check out the Shadow Clone Variants personally.
The first two he already knew.
Shadow Clone
Multi Shadow Clone.
After that, however, were a few he didn't know.
Shadow Kunai/Shuriken Jutsu
Exploding Clone Jutsu
'I should ask Sensei about these first, make sure I have the ok.'
He practiced shadow clone for a while, attempting to increase his efficiency periodically asking Kurama if he had to force memory flow at all.
Naruto quickly found his max for training, it was currently sitting at about 100 clones, anything after that and he would give Kurama a hard time.
After about 3 hours of the book being finished, he had the clones gather what they've done and bring it to the study.
He was quite pleased to see that all of the clones had completed their tasks.
"Now I just need to repeat with the next book."
Naruto nodded and went to work on the books.
He quickly finished the first stack of books, assigning clones to work on everything inside of them.
Naruto stretched, surprised to be so stiff after only a few hours, not to mention so exhausted. He had his clones gather what they completed and bring it to him.
He was happy to see a handful of intermediate scrolls in front of him.
He dispelled the clones that arrived in the study unceremoniously. He quickly went pale, after realizing that it wasn't a few hours that had passed, but a few days.
He bolted outside of the study to find his sensei sitting at the kitchen table, a deeply worried look on his face and bags under his eyes.
"Sensei!" Naruto was mortified. Had he stayed up just to keep an eyes on him?
"Naruto! Thank goodness!" Hiruzen bolted over to Naruto, examining him thoroughly, checking for signs of chakra exhaustion and mental fatigue.
Hiruzen looked at Naruto and saw a similar sight that Naruto did.
Naruto's eyes were sunken in, he moved like he hadn't slept at all in days.
'He's lucky that the fox would keep him alive, or he'd be all kinds of sick right now.' Hiruzen took a deep breath and put both his hands on Naruto's shoulders, staring deep into Naruto's cobalt blue eyes.
"Never do that again." It was spoken softly, but Naruto could feel the authority ringing in his voice. "Being able to do something, and that something being healthy are two very different things. Only do something like this in case of an emergency, ok?" Naruto nodded softly, disappointed.
"Can- I show you what I learned?" Hiruzen smiled and nodded, following his eager student to the study once more.
