Naruto had learned quite a lot in his month of intense training with the Sandaime Hokage. Hiruzen understood that even with all of the control in the world, it would mean much without jutsu to go along with it.
A few wind jutsu, fire jutsu and earth jutsu were added to Naruto's arsenal. Naruto himself found a way to infuse a shunshin with wind chakra to make it instantaneous, and scarily stable. Hiruzen had compared it to Shisui's own shunshin, the potential to move so quickly it created after images.
"Naruto, since you've mastered the jutsu I've taught you, you've created your own variation of an already existing technique, and wield those elemental jutsu with just as much force as a seasoned user of the technique. I am deeply impressed." Naruto smiled wide.
"From what I saw. With the hand full of elemental jutsu I know now, I should just be able to modify them to create new jutsu or overflow them with chakra to increase the rank. I'm in a spot were I only really need to continue my clan jutsu, and my physical training." Hiruzen nodded.
"I see what I have taught you stuck. That's good insight, Naruto." Naruto was beaming at the praise, clearly quite happy his efforts were recognized.
"With that said, I won't be available at all much, as I must prepare for the Chunin Exams. They're quite large this year, so I'll need to be involved. Because of this, I believe you should finally be introduced to your team. There's more than one 5 man cell this year, so don't feel too strange." Naruto nodded, a tint of excitement in his movement.
The two began to move toward the academy.
"Naruto, you will be a part of team 9, soon to be team Guy. Might Guy will be your sensei, and your direct superior. You will have 3 team mates, but I'll allow you to figure things out on your own for that.
The two arrived in front of a vacant classroom. Naruto could make out four voices in the room. One female, three males.
'Must be my new sensei and teammates.' Naruto channeled some chakra into his ears, listening closely for any meaningful conversation.
"-I'm just concerned, Guy-sensei." 'The voice is female, from the tone of voice, she clearly concerned about my addition to the team.'
"I know, Tenten, but there's truly no need to be concerned. I was told he can keep up at least. Perhaps he'll give us a surprise." 'That must be Guy. reassuring voice, clearly the most experienced by the steel in his voice, not to mention information from the Hokage.'
"Indeed! I am truly excited to test his flames of youth!" 'That must be the muscle of the team outside of the sensei. Perhaps something closer to his apprentice?'
"Must you fight everyone we encounter, Lee? You will only hasten the eventual fate of defeat." 'Ah, so the muscle's name is Lee. That other boy is quite the pessimist, but he's not necessarily wrong.'
"Sparing with powerful foes is the best way to grow, Neji!" 'And the pessimist's name is Neji. That name is traditionally Hyuga, either a member of the clan or family friend.'
"That's if he's even that powerful." Naruto got a devious smirk on his face. He looked at Hiruzen and put a finger up to his mouth before disappearing.
He was inside the room, arriving silently. Guy noticed him immediately but stayed silent after feeling the lack on malicious intent.
'"This will surely be a good lesson for them." That must be what he's thinking.'
Naruto silenced his footsteps in the same way Kakashi had taught him. He walked toward the group from the back of the classroom.
